Its not like you can't see the Sniper with the damn Claymore in hand, if you are then silly enough to run towards it or even go near that area then thats your tough luck not the fault of a sniper.

and the sniper class isn't weak at all , seying this confirms you have no skill at all with normal weapons, and now need to use some lame no skill weapons .

sniper weak , you can freaking shoot people half the map , snipers got good acuracy now, also the pistol is very good if you learn it a bit, and you have nades .

And, I am ranting about the people who take the sniper class not for sniping, but just for the claymores , they don't even use the sniperrifle at all, just the claymores

This is a bit misguided as some snipers place them at flags, where you have to go.

I think the ability to detonate them by shooting them should be included, I wouldn't have thought that would be too hard to change.

Claymores are just part of the game, much like the Spec Ops who C4's up a flag then detonates as it is going down. Hopefully EA will come up with ways and means to get round these things. I have no problem with them being carried out as long as there is a means to combat them, and at the moment there isn't.

Maybe Bomb Disposal as a new class?

I think Claymores are okay. The detonation range could be reduced alittle as now it is a tad rediculous, but other than that they are okay.

I think claymores are ok - it should stop people blindly rushing around and force them to take a little time to consider whether an objective can be taken - if it slows the game up a little by having people think than I'm Ok with it.

the blast radius could be reduced though

Claymores are a weapon used in battles and wars.........is this game not about Battles?

Can you imagine a real serviceman saying "Oh these claymores are for lamers please don't place them anywhere or I might die"

And as for blocking flags or stairs well thats all about defense, you defend a flag or a building for strategic reasons.

I place Claymores on Karkand all the time, I know someone is gonna rush down to the USMC spawn point on the bottom left of the map as you look at it, so I like one up at the hole in the wall and one down the side alley and then watch the same moron run into it time and time again then say "Lamer Claymore User"...........maybe I shouldnt take my gun into the next battle incase someone calls me a "Lamer Gun User".

This is a game not real life...can you imagine a real serviceman saying "Oh there is a claymore in the door way to that building....lets go home guys as there is no way we can get past this claymore without dieing." saddam hussain would have never been caught as all he would have to do is put a claymore or 2 at the door way and there would be no way to get past them lol

If claymores could be blown up with a granade like real life or we could crawl past them or something then it would be balanced.

I find the claymores to be a great defensive weapon for the sniper. Get spotted, run around a corner, drop a claymore and boom, you just got yourself a kill.

I don't mind bringing the FF back on as this is mostly how I use them but in this case snipers should be able to pick them up

For your info, i rarely play sniper; find it a boring kit in this game.. Buti sure as hell don't waste my time whining because i walk in front of a claymore. Clays are used for more than just protecting the backsides of camping snipers; get some skill before you attack other peoples skill level..

And yes i said weak- As in, no points compared to the medic or support class.

I love reading these thread where people whine over something just because they cannot handle claymores. What people need to do is to practice more and to think like the enemy. There are times where i get blown up by a claymore and i just remember next time not to do that again. But you got to admit people who use claymore are pretty sneaky. :laugh:

I like to fight fire with fire. I find myself using the sniper kit more then ever, for the claymore. But typically its because im getting claymored.
If im getting slammed by armor, i go engy or spec op or at.
If im getting sniped or clayed, i go sniper. If im at an open flag, with the enemy in the open comming at me, i'll go support, if im in close quarters with no clays, then assault. I have my favorite weapon, however, im always forced to use somethiing im not good at, or whatever, to simply try to kill folks with, or to ultimatly get the flag back/keep.
In the very, very end, it is ultimatly about teamwork and the ability to work together as a whole team. Even one good squad of 6 with a good tactics can sway a game. But those rare times when the whole team is on the same page, there is no enemy plane, no enemy tank, and no amount of enemies on foot, that can beat you. No matter how good they are.
Course all that goes out the window, if the enemy is the first on the scene at the start of a round with a spam bomber, at your only spawn, uncap base, and destorys every air vehical you have to get off the damn island/area whatever. Arghhhhh fast loaders. The time part of the second round........should be incorporated for the first round as well. Usually the first round, the team with the most fast loaders will win, and usually very fast. However the second round, even if they are the better team, has a very hard time of it. Proof that there should be a certain number of spawners, loaded, in game before the round starts.

NO they are not, is about time, before you could barely use the claymores without getting tk. Payback is a bitch aint it. Maybe now you will have to use some tactick, instead of runing around thinking you own the map, because you never know what's around the next corner.
I use them now more than ever, and look at my stats i am a all good around player, i dont have 500 hours as specs ops or what ever, i play whats necessary for the situation. And yes i do use claymores on flags. Take the time to look for them and you might spot them.

This coming from someone who has over 500 gold medals. Since day one, snipers have ALWAYS been able to lay 5 claymores. I don't seem to remember cries of OMFG! TOO MANY CLAYMORES! Now, they can only put down 2, and it's still too many.

Now, I will agree, that they either should kill teamates, (even though there are a lot of people who are grotesquely stupid, and walk right into them) or be able to be blown up by grenades/explosives. However, this is not the first time I think you have complained about this.

So, I give you this free advice again. Can't get to a flag because there's a claymore? Go in with your medic behind you to revive you. What's that you say? No medic? Why not? Why would you ever go around without the essential component of any squad? Please don't tell me you are a lone wolf. If (I said if) you go around by yourself, then you deserve to get killed by a simple claymore. As I've said before, you can lay 1000 claymores around a flag, and my trusty medic and I will clear a path to flag capture.

You would think someone that has over 50,000 kills would be able to figure out how to get around something as simple as a claymore. I guess not.

you know, before the patch arived, I had 40h as sniper and almost never had TK's with claymores, problem is you guys put them on the wrong places, claymores are there to defend yourself as a sniper and a sniper shouldn't be around the other teammates, he should be sniping from a good spot , and if he is around teammates, he doesn't need claymores, because they are defending you and your suroundings .
this is the point you guys just won't understand due to lack of brain power
