Come on, take one for the team! The best way to disarm a clymore is to run into it. Then your squad can proceed. If a medic revives you then super, if not, play as a medic and revive all those guys who just ran into claymores (on purpose or not). Don't look at claymores as obstacles to play, but as free revive points. Where are all those noob claymore camping medics getting free points?!
No, the best way is to have an engineer (a foreign and strange word to many) use his wrench to REMOVEthe offending claymore.

I agree with this statement, but on the other hand its kind of hard to "go around it" because of the radius of explosion of it. Even if you where a couple feet away, it will still blow, so theres basically no way around it, only if you go on the sides of it. Sometimes this doesnt work either. I suggest that they reduce the radius of exploding. I mean the reduce the distance to cause the claymore to explode, that would be very nice.

Clamores are just an annoyance, the medic route works well and when used effectively quickly negates the claymore issue. What I believe is worse, particularly on warlord, is the CONSTANT grenade spamming. Playing the other night it was just unreal......It is not far removed from stat padding when one team does not make an effort to cap the opposing flag but simply sits there with their support buddy throwing grenade after grenade into the opposite spawn point, (In the Palace). Had to leave in the end despite having a huge score from constantly reviving teammates, it just not playing the game IMO.

"Get out of the kitchen (i.e. Palace) if you can't take the heat." is all I have to say.
There are plenty of other flags to cap on maps especially on Warlord.
Also -the whiners will never get this- Clays are part of the game. Get the f0kk used to it. It's always annoying to get owned but what the hell? Learn from your mistakes and adapt.

Should we take out the rifles too?

About destroying clays with granates it is not good idea, just cause you are not supposed to see the clay before you are already dead. Don't forget that claymores are bubby trap weapon!!!
              No YOUR the bubby.
Of course they should be either a) destroyable w/ grens b) blow on friendlies, preferably both. The less no-skill fire and forget weapons the better.
But I'd settle on them being destroyable, beacuse there aren't that many places they're usually put in (sharqi stairway , flagbalcony, lobby, warlord balconies , hallways, stairs ) so you always know where they are but you cant do anything about them now. When storming e.g. warlord palace hallway or tv station first 2 in are automatically dead per sniper waiting. The medic going for a revive is gonna eat a gren or mg36 , or another clay..

You know, I don't get killed by guns all that often, because they actually takes an effort to aim, and cannot not kill me when its user is half way accross the map or there are 3 walls between us. But there is a problem when someone can spam a claymore that instantly kill you, and come back and spam another one.

I will arrange a 1v1 with you on Warlord palace if you don't believe me, take whatever gun you like, I will ONLY be using claymore.

How about we take out the soldiers? Have the guns, armor, claymores sitting there so we can stare at them with the free cam?

again, claymore is among one of the few weapon that does not need to aim to be effective. If anything, the claymore usage is more "the sim" like than almost any other weapon in game, besides artillery.

Re: Claymore should be removed in SF and urban maps

I usually don't have a problem with them, but in ghost town it was impossible to catch the middle flag, the enemy kept littering their flags and alleways to the flags with claymores and racking up massive ammounts of kills.

By all means, take out everything that makes the game a challenge!

does aiming pose more challenge, or does the simple placement of a claymore which may guarantee you 2 or more kills pose more challenge?

I like challenges in game, I love the sensation of killing people with inferior weapons, but what I don't like is getting killed as I spawn because someone is running up and down with a claymore, and NO, this is DIFFERENT from armor and aircraft whoring. by attacking you, armor at least needs to be exposed to your field of view, claymore user can just run away. Speaking of noob and unchallenging gameplay, claymore is a first.

Look, I have no problem with defensive use of claymore, but there is some problem if ingenious people start rushing flags with them.

the tanks and guns are ruining the gameplay too, they need to be removed.

LOL, a little one sided in your logic!

Look, it’s only a mater of time before more people realize that other than the few kills they get in a game, they almost always end the map with pathetic scores. I know some say they got 20 and 30 kills with clays in a round (maybe pre-1.22), but hey if you believe that they are able to do that now, I have some ocean front property in Arizona for sale!
