Re: Claymore should be removed in SF and urban maps

They are very annoying but they havent ruined a game for me yet. I got annoyed the other day in the palace as I was trying to take a flag alone. Died twice to claymores after making the two long trips to the flags. So i shagged off to other flags, when squads had capped the security flag there was a lot of people in the palace and claymores werent a problem anymore. Theres always a way around the claymores though once you know theyre being spammed.

Yes, but the two previous ones only go away after about 2-3 minutes after you die.

hate to burst your ego bubble their fella but how does not being able to defuse or counter act a claymore make you a crap player?

claymores are awful in this game and warlord suffers quite bad from them, had a game the other night after not playing SF for ages and it might as well be changed to claylord, bit boring to say the least and not at all fun, i left the server and joined another and it was the same thing again

          *yawn*

What's up. You guys will probably flame the crap out of me, but I don't care, cuz I take alot of crap just for my name. I agree you should be able to set off claymores and mines with a grenade. But depending what type of mood I'm in, sometimes I play with claymores as a main weapon. In a good round of warlord I can get upwards of 70 kills or so with claymores alone. I beleive the only "cheating" is hacking, or doing something someone else cannot do, and I do not do that, but I will try different things to find out what is the advantage, and that includes playing the game anyway it is possible to play.

I have been playing since release day, and throughout all the patches and changes, I have also adjusted my playing style. I can pretty much use any given kit or vehicle for the whole round and get in the top few guys everytime.I don't post that much, but I'm really tired of people knocking other players for the way in which they kill.

            examples:
noob toober, pkm noob, claymore noob, c4 throwing noob, bunny hopping noob, jihad noob, armor whore, plane whore, heli whore, grenade spamming resupply whore, prone spammers, dolphin divers, tear gas spammers, famas noobs. You get the idea. The only weapon I have never seen someone get ripped on for using is the knife. WTF????

            My two cents. See ya.

The last 2 claymores you planted before you died will disappear when your kit from your corpse disappears.

i also am sure you can only have a certain number out at a time. In 1.2 you could have 5 out at a time, now in 1.22 you can only have 2 deployed at a time.

Seriously though, claymores are not a big deal there are plenty of other areas to concentrate your attack on a map, if there is a "problem area" you should obviously go somewhere else, via a different route, unlike all the silly, OH SO SILLY people in Karkand that go into the passage to the Hotel OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER, and die repeatedly to claymores. You would think after the first 3 times of getting whacked by the same dudes claymores YOU WOULD FIND A DIFFERENT WAY. Hows about brininging an engineer and a medic with you as well? The engineer could disarm while you and he dies the medic can clean up and revive you. Yes i know what a lovely scenario that would be, although it is highly unlikely that would ever fall into play, teamwork that is.

Honestly i never run into problems with claymores unless im going after a sniper and the sniper uses the claymores to cover his ass. Claymores don't ruin the game at all for me.

There's nothing wrong with the claymore if the server opperators would but in this very simple line sv.friendlyFireWithMines 1

The thing I hate about Claymore is some F**king sniper lays his claymore infront of mine. WTF... there are plenty of place lay the claymore, but he has to choose my spot.
When I cautch him in the act, just pull out my pistol and shot him repeatedly.

Re: Claymore should be removed in SF and urban maps

Personally I haven't had much of a problem with claymores. You know if you die twice taking the same route....maybe try another or go elsewhere. Just like if there's a tank spawn camping. After a few times maybe try another spawn point. If that's the last one, join a squad and spawn there...it is a team game.

Just like with support and medic camping a hallway. If they gun you down repeatedly....I'm sure there's other bases to go after. Or the easy wasy to defuse them is go with a group and make sure you're not first or second. There are people that will love to run into a claymore for you. Hell if I'm with you and I don't see you do it, I'll go set them off.

In all seriousness, I think it was kind of a bad idea with rankings, awards, and unlocks. If anything, ranking almost discourages teamwork. I think a majority of us have fell victim to it. Only reason why I've ever gone c4 chucking is to get that stupid badge.

Re: Claymore should be removed in SF and urban maps

Not sure about other countries, but nearly all New Zealand and Aussie servers seem to have the FF On for claymores and mines, meaning that the claymore spamming isn't an issue at all.

Problem is, now when I plant my claymores for self defence, I'm pretty much guaranteed to get a punish or two thanks to blind teammates.

The simple fix is leave FF Off, but make them destructible again, wouldn't that work for everyone?

The claymores shouldn't be removed, you should be removed!!!

Come on, take one for the team! The best way to disarm a clymore is to run into it. Then your squad can proceed. If a medic revives you then super, if not, play as a medic and revive all those guys who just ran into claymores (on purpose or not). Don't look at claymores as obstacles to play, but as free revive points. Where are all those noob claymore camping medics getting free points?!

You can medal every time on warlord doing nothing but spamming claymores. The only people who will beat you in score are other claymore spammers.

                                Don't believe me? Try it.

When I get annoyed by claymore spammers I just spawn sniper and return the favor. I know a lot of nice spots to drop them and I am very good at making life miserable for the other team in the palace. I would prefer to not have to stoop to this level (make them destroyable EA!) but I am willing to get my hands dirty if need be.
