I have achieved first sgt, gained most the medals, all medals and ribbons which i think i can achieve and the games just aren't challenging anymore. I hardly ever get owned nowadays. There is nothing left in the game for me to play for.
Instead of mindlessly gunning for points, i took time to get the badges. I got the basic explosives with good ol fashioned c4 before all the claymore noobage started....pre 1.2. I also got the knife basic/vet and pistol....infact i have all the requirements for the sgt major. I got afew hard team support ribbons and afew commander badges also. I was still learning the game when i first started with that account....so as you'd expect i'm a much better player than i was back then....so my stats suffered a little.
Plus I do not vehicle whore or spawn kill, which alot of players do who have amazing Kill/Death ratios. What is an amazing player? Someone who has perfect stats, someone who partakes in points specialised combat or someone who just plays the game for fun? I don't get owned much in clan servers, however i have played against alot of stiff competition in the 64 player karkand superserver so that is why my stats may be a little weak.
I did not vehicle whore or spwn camp in that round. I did it playing support as USMC. The whole round i was fighting on the round with the PKM.
Why do people feel compelled to annouce their departure from the game? Just leave and shut the f@ck up! We don't care!
It is not an announcement of departure, it is an announcement of 100% WTF Boredom. I think that the largest factor responsible for the boredom is a lack of maps and support.
Sure you can buy the EF booster for a meager $10...that is just 3 maps and some new weapon/player skins. The booster pack idea is fine if you have a consensus among all the gamers. But you end up splitting up the customer base and they eventually lose interest if you do not provide a good product. Not showing appreciation for customer loyalty is the fastest way to loose the base. Sure EA is a huge company, this wont break them....It would be more of a tax deduction than anything else.
I enjoy BF2, but it is definitely getting old. At this point, I think it is definitely on a downward slope and the future does not look promising.

There aren't nearly as many servers running as there were 2/3 months ago BF and SF. When i first started playing there were sh:tloads of EA servers. There are alot less EA servers running games. Even with some changing over to Euroforces there are alot fewer, and even fewer populated ones than before. Less players are playing and the figure is gradually decreasing. EA bring patch after patch out which are always bugged. I mean they brought patch 1.22 out and they were already working on patch 1.3...even before it was released. They will get it right eventually but i think it will be too late when they do.

The scores of your entire team overall are better than the other team's.
I just got the game so I do not think it is boring. I have had games in the past that you just play over and over and it does get boring. I think that it will take some time and then you will come back and play.

I know i've gone through a stage where BF2 did nothing for me, and a know a lot of other people that have experienced the same.. I got back into it by having a break and playing SH3 for a lil while. Came back to it and it was like new :) Now, instead of flaming the crappers outta the poor bloke, why not try being nice?? Its not that hard, really...
Maybe playing less Kark would help?
Or actually trying to help your team win a little more often?
Hell, with 137 hours of lonewolfing (thus implying that you've got no head for teamwork), I'm not suprised at all that you're bored with the game.
You aren't taking advantage of BF2's best features.
I'm still enjoying the hell outta the game. Mostly because I play all maps, always try to get teamwork happening, and lately have been have lots of fun commanding more often (I've gotten enough of a reputation as a good commander to actually get people to LISTEN to me! Woot!).
Sounds like you're selling yourself short and it's got little to do with the game. Or maybe, BF2's real strenghts are just aspects of gaming that don't suite you. That ain't the game's fault either.

The server IP is in the picture and you can find out what server he's playing in by going to his stats page in BF2s. There are plenty of people who have played the game for around the same amount of time as him.
