We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
I haven't really noticed anything like this. Then again, I always assume that if I'm in the open, a sniper can hit me, so maybe I'm just cautious like that.
Now that you guys mention it, I was on a 24/7 Karkand death match server last night. Usually I have no problem getting into the rythm of these and usually do fairly well. But I was getting raped and was unable to get a footing.
However, once I left that and went to a non-24/7 karkand I didn't have the same problem.
Most probably a 24/7 Karkand server attracts people that have mastered the map and know how to own the map. I have had similar experience especially when the other side is working more effectively as a team. Typically one side is stacked with clan players which is a certain defeat for disorganized pubbers...like myself. I do enjoy the team work aspects of the game and when I (by chance) get in a good squad.
I generaly think its because the weapons are alot more accurate. Players such as myself who have an above average aim are able to do things in this game that wasnt possible pre 1.2...... I am absolutely loving BF2 nowadays. My kill death ratio is increasing day by day.
When you guys are getting owned, do you bother to see what rank the enemy is? Chances are it is a higher ranked player with a lot of hours under their belt.
And Hattrik57, don't give anyone any ideas on how or where to look for hacks doucher. You aren't helping the problem here.
Are you guys listening? People seem better because the weapons have been improved in the 1.2 patch. It's nothing more than that. BF2 is basically a different game now.
personally i havent noticed getting killed in random areas as much as i have noticed sever admins on ranked servers booting me for excessive teamkilling 5 tickets from map ending with me in the top 3 for medals...
this has happened a dozen times on different servers....with only 1 of those times me having a single teamkill...
Well, you can believe there are no hacks if you want. I was killed the other night by a rapid fire L96. No hacks indeed. Ive even started playing as if Im wearing a bright orange jump suit and assume every enemy can see me all the time. After doing so, I seem to be doing better. Its not impossible to beat a player using a hack. You just have to play them like they are, its different. Oh and by the way the L96 guy was a one striper. Go figure. . . . . . .Red

You should play like that anyway.
There are hacks out there, but they don't do what you guys are describing. Most players with hacks suck, and thats the reason they use them.
It seems too many people are looking for excuses after the 1.2 patch. Maybe you guys have gotten too used to playing in a game where people couldn't hit the broad side of a barn before. Adapt your play style to the new more accurate weapons is all I can say.
i usually see 1 real hacker a week. i'd say someone's hackin when they can shoot tank shells at me when i'm on the other side of a wall, or when there's a sniper who win the games when not a single shot of his missed (40,000 points and he never even played sniper before that night)
as far as the topic goes, it all depends on the server you are in and who else is in w/ you. there have been evenings that nothing i do seems to counter the other team, but sooner or later things even out. i've been playing FHM's 24/7 dalian quite a bit lately (patched 1.22) and it all depends on who is on your team. you cant win by yourself. you can see this especially in this server, although some random chance plays into who holds control points. its a pilot's paradise except that just about everyone in the server wants to be a pilot. lol so i usually go groundpounding, ignoring my desire for a chopper. by doing this, if i am on a loosing team, people begin to join my squad and before i know it i have a full squad that is actually working w/ me (but not always). just try something different when what you are used to doing doesnt work, and you will be surprised w/ the outcome. :o)
