Lately it seems like the aiming is surreal.

Ok...not just the aiming, but everything in general. It just seems like distance isnt a factor much anymore. Strange, non typical areas even, you find yourself the target. Almost like you have UAV on you at all times.
It just seems like in the last, im gonna say 2 weeks, the WTF!!!??!! thoughts arise from my thoughts alot.
It could be just a latency problem. But aside from the normal amount of whiners on a server, i am seeing alot, i mean ALOT more guys even, moaning on servers, more and more.
Im not a great player but feel adapt enough to hold my own in the game. But lately, as I said, it just seems strange. It just seems like there are "too" many good players now. Almost like an overnight thing.
I know from past gaming, (10 years of gaming fps) that when things like this happens.......theres usually an answer for it. And.......i hate to say it, but its hacks and cheats.
However, i've done some easy typical research and to be honest i cant find any information showing where hacks are even workiing right now. And if its widespread like I think it is, you would think a simple search would turn that up.
I guess im just sucking out lately... <-- lol
Oh well, just wondering if any other folks here, are feeling the same way.

Well, I had a bad round as the US on Wake Island the other night... so yeah, China must've been cheating! Lol

Seriously, I haven't noticed anything different recently - in fact, I've been doing really well this month. Haven't tried out the 1.22 patch yet though. Perhaps the 1.2 / 1.21 patch(es) didn't suit your style of play, and it has favoured others instead...?

No, im not really comming out and saying the cheat thing, however have been thinking about it more and more.
Even If I felt someone on a server was in fact cheating, i would never say that, unless i had absolute proof. I mean i know for a fact i have made shots that, made me even want to check my BF2 folders for hacks...lol you know what i mean, im sure. ITs like......you make the shot, and you say,,,,,,,,,,oh oh, hes gonna think im a cheater for sure.
Anyways...dont take this thread as me whinning, im not. Im simply asking how others are feeling lately re: this topic.

well considering a team made it to the finals of the WT with at least one player using a hack shows punk buster is not catching all hacks and they are out there, i too sometimes have to wonder if it was skill or hack that killed me but i guess that is the price of pubbing and playing with people you don't know, but then it's a double edged sword because if you don't pub you never make new friends right?

Dude, I have been feeling the same way lately. Like you said, I'm not sure if it's cheats or that we're just on a really bad streak. But yes, I feel ya.

Yeah i posted something earlier today and i have been finding that before i could take 50 + in a round easily last night i played on Karkand GTAF, very intense but only managed to take a handful of points (not sure if accidental TK happened because of red name tag problem) but i am getting fed up with not being able to take the points away, hopefully it will get better

in my opinion, they introduced over powered/ over accurate weapons with the special forces mod, then instead of decreasing their power in a patch, they increased all the standard weapons power/accuracy, meaning you tend to die instantly when fired upon, this was my thread on the subject:

I feel the same way man. I carry, these days, A KDR from 1:1 to 2:1 ground pounding but last night I couldn't get to even on several maps. Or maybe I just had the shanks.

You're not alone, Howie. I've had several rounds recently where I felt the exact same way. There are times and places on certain maps when you feel safe because you're aware of enemy movements, so it can be quite noticeable when you start getting killed in places where you might ordinarily feel you're out of danger.

A couple of weeks ago, I played a round on Sharqi and, for the life of me, I just couldn't work my way into the game. I kept getting killed over and over again, even in places where I'm accustomed to feeling safe from the usual range of threats; it was mildly disconcerting in that it felt, like you said, as though suddenly everyone was playing far better.

I'm extremely reticent to put it down to cheating / hacks, though. I think it's more likely the result of a significant shift in class choice. For example, there are definitely fewer medics on Sharqi these days and a lot more PKM users and snipers. Back when the medics were plentiful, there was much more healing / reviving going on, whereas the sudden surge in PKM users and snipers means there's now a lot more people, near and far, trying to kill you.

I also have to agree; there have been some strange shots being made in game.. And playerssss just knowing were you are, like the UAV is over your head constantly, lol.. I haven't been saying anythng because i am not one to make a fuss over things, but seeing as it appears that i am not alone in my feelings i thought i would chime in...

One thing about a new patch is, the hackers are trying out their updated versons of their hacks... I have always felt that PB is useless. The hacks that are apparently out now create an individual specific cheat, so even if one copy of the cheat is banned, it effects no one else's copy as they don't really have an exact copy... And PB can't stop what it doesn't know exists; which means PB is always 2 steps behind the cheat community... :cry:

Now that you guys mention it, I was on a 24/7 Karkand death match server last night. Usually I have no problem getting into the rythm of these and usually do fairly well. But I was getting raped and was unable to get a footing.

However, once I left that and went to a non-24/7 karkand I didn't have the same problem.
