It seems like the sideways prone-roll has become the new dolphin dive. Now I see people spamming strafe-prone-crouch-strafe-prone to induce the magical side-roll and maintain prone accuracy, all while being very hard to hit.
I've been shooting a standing or running target, getting hits, and then had him do the roll and have my bullets seemingly pass right through him.
Can we confirm what the roll actually gets you? Does it just make the roller harder to hit visually, does it jack up the hitboxes like bunny hopping, or does it actually afford some kind of temporary invulnerability?
Any personal experiences or thoughts are appreciated.
