Re: AA (mobile and static) in 1.21 - comments
Yeah, adding mobile AA to certain maps would be really good. Particularly Gulf of Oman or Dalian which are currently horrendous maps for jet ownage and baserapage. With Wake the problem is the US don't start with a base so adding mobile AA for them is more tricky and only possible if it were to spawn upon capturing one of the Chinese bases...
If the pilots on both sides aren't keeping each other occupied then sitting in the static AA on maps like Gulf or Wake is the only option we've got. Since manning a static AA site lights you up to jets themselves, you're nothing better than a sitting duck most of the time. The range is miserly and you need a really inexperienced pilot to fly by without flares to have a chance to take one of the jets down. Basically static AA is just a glorified pair of binoculors similar to those that you might find attached for tourists half way up the Eiffel Tower.

If you expect some dogsbody infantry player to spend their time in static AA just scaring off jets in an fps then you must be out of your mind. Are jets just supposed to scare off armour?
