whats more useful the flash bang or smoke!?

It's situational. I tend to find smoke is more flexible, but flashbangs are hella handy when it comes to blinding vehicles. Smoke can be used defencivly without screwing up teammates as badly, while flashbangs tend to be better when you're soloing.

This naturally makes me gravitate towards smoke more.
Plus, I just love the G3 now. The F2000 just ain't what it used to be with it's nerfed to gimpage GL.

Note: The use of the word "gimpage" in this case is deragatory and has nothing to do with being Wargimp-like.

I alwasy use Smoke at the Square. evrytime the enemy comes they are death, took the flag many times by myself while the whole MEC team was around. SO yea its definately a good goodie

Probably staying away from it and focusing on something else, so you don't end up with a lot more deaths than kills like some people here. Also good idea would be to stop playing assault all the time just because there is a granade launcher, and giving the other kits a chance (you may even score more team points), especially since they have smoke granades also, in rare occasions you wanna use one.

I'm a support player. Not as in I play support alot (although I do), but rather I do the dirty work. As you can see by stairing at those all mighty stats, I play SL alot. I'm the kinda SL that stand off of flags and tries to support my grunts while I provide 'em with a sneaky stand off spawnpoint. I'm the guy that throws smoke so my SL can get away. I'm even the suicidal sucker that still flys blackhawks (and my squad wins games) Basicly, I'm a teamplayer.

Don't confuse my stats (which I've never given a damn about) with my value to my team.

Now, if you don't mind, we're having a nice little chit chat about how to iintelligently employ smoke. You obviously aren't interested in intelligent coverstation... so your input is less than desired.

If you'd like to stroke off about how cool you are... ya might wanna post elsewhere. Yer just making yourself look stupid here.

Wargimp, it's funny how you found yourself in my post even though I never mentioned your name. If you read your own statements, you'll see who is the stupid one, at least based on your BF2 tactics. Anyway, I'll refrain myself from any further comments in this thread, simply because the whole situation of a person working on his PhD arguing with some high school kids, which you probably are, looks ridiculous. In conclusion, my nonbiased opinion about the hand grenade from a neutral point of view would be that it all depends how good are you using it, since its "obstructing the view" effect is same against you and your enemy both, and sometimes it can do more damage than good. Something for you to "think" about in between homeworks and BF2.

Fortunatly, with the PKM as powerful as it is there's never any shortage of supply guys runnin 'round.

Back on topic:
I managed to gather a perty damn near perfect fire team last night. I was doing the assualt thing (G3) as SL, had a medic and 2 support grunts with me. We spent a lot of time coming in at flags from odd angles. Camp 'em first to farm some kills, then I'd lob smoke and we'd storm up. We had a hella lotta fun.

I really like the idea of it recharging. Medics get unlimited medkits, support gets unlimited ammo packs. Have assault get unlimited smoke? They're all support stuff. It's not like unlimited nades etc.

BTW, I play SF Support just to get more smoke....hehe
