We've got threads on almost every topic kickin 'round here, but I have yet to see one on the most underused and under apresiated aspect of this whole game... the lowly smoke grenade.
Damn, these things are handy!
I like using 'm to cover my flag caps (just drop it at your feel while capping), as a distraction (toss it one way, run the other), to provide cover (toss one out when you need to move, but you know the bad guys have a bead on ya), and with some teamwork they're great for killin tanks (lob on at a tank, let your spec opps buddy rush in with his C4).
You can also do amusing things with 'em when your coming in on a transport heli and need just a little extra ground cover.
True, you only get one, but with support being such a popular kit, you shouldn't have any problems gettting more. A support dude feeding you ammo packs while you lob smoke can let you put out a bunch of 'em no problem.
I do wish the smoke lasted a bit longer. There doesn't seem to be any graphical restraints on it since in SF you can pop out a ton of gas rounds and don't bring frame rates down.
Anyway... who's up for a smoke?
