Re: The PKM is out of control.
The PKM is becoming a problem. Support seems to be by far the most popular kit in all the servers I play in anymore.
The problem with the PKM, however, isn't accuracy. While I agree that the accuracy is sometimes a bit much, there are bigger problems I see. The problem with the PKM is that people aren't using it in a supporting fire role. The PKM is being used by people assaulting a base. The gun can be accurately fired from the hip (especially while crouched), and going from sprinting to prone firing is almost instantaneous. It's ridiculous.
I propose that they make the support kit so it cannot fire with any accuracy at all from standing or crouched position. Then, they add an animation sequence for the support kit when it goes prone (setting up a bipod or something), so that there is a several-second delay for a support person to go from standing to prone.
If this was done, support kits could fill their role of providing deadly covering fire and holding defensive positions against charging infantry, but they would no longer be able to fill the role of assault. Problem solved without nerfing anything and there would be more strategy involved in gameplay and kit selection.
