We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.

Well, 2 less BF2 noob accounts. Like I said, their accounts were both under 800, so they'll only reset them. I just wish there was a way to ban any account/username associated with the CHEATERS.

Why flip out over something that wasn't even that useful?
I see it as something akin to the superjumps in Halo 2.
Fun to do, useless in combat. Now, if that glitch was the deciding factor in
a victory for their team, I could see getting upset. It seems like it actually
hindered them, so why try to string them up for screwing their team?
As far as something that "It's not the way it was meant to be played," do you really thing EA intended for PKMs to snipe from across the map?
Maybe all PKM whores should be MAC banned and CD Key banned?
Hell, at least the PKM thing gives you a tactical advantage....

I understand your argument, but I believe it's incorrect. Here's why: No, EA probably did not intend for the PKM to snipe across a map. However, EVERYONE can select the PKM and snipe across the map. Not EVERYONE knows how to get inside the Temple. No, it did not change the outcome of the game, but it can. How do you then judge whether it is a win or loss then by that logic? Well, no one used the Temple cheat/hack/glitch/exploit, so, I guess we really won the match. Suppose for a moment that only those who are "in the know" could enter any building... Their entire team hidden inside buildings. You go to cap a flag, your squad gets wacked, but you cannot see them. Or, fire back at them to kill them... So only if it swings the game to their favor is it a bad thing then? The difference is, while one is inside the building, it renders them invulnerable. They can shoot/kill anyone outside, while remaining untouched inside.
I've never suggested that PKM whores be banned. Others probably have, but I have not. I think people who complain about certain weapons cannot think of ways around it. The PKM has an extremely distinct sound. You can actually tell from what direction it is being fired from. If you're getting killed everytime you spawn by that PKM, don't spawn there! Find out where he's hiding, spawn somewhere else, and then take him out with your weapon.

I don't want this to turn into a PKM thing, but here it comes...
Many people have complained about the PKM being silent half the time since the patch. When I get hit by it, I usually only see the dust from rounds that miss. I have my sound on Ultra, due to the fact that I have an X-fi. I still don't hear anything coming from the PKM. My wife plays support, and she will usually back me up while I snipe. I don't even hear HER shoot from right next to me.
OK, back on topic. Claiming that "Not EVERYONE knows how to get inside the Temple." isn't the best argument, either. ANYONE can LEARN how to do it. Not everyone knows how to get a one-hit-kill on a tank, but people who do it aren't banned. It requires know-how and skill and luck.
Same with getting in that building. They had to have done something to get in there. Banning them simply because you don't know how they did it doesn't seem fair. There are quite a few quirks in this game that people have learned to exploit. Seat-switching chopper pilots come to mind.... If you had a solid lock on someone, and they switched seats to get you to drop lock, while hitting you with a TV missile, would you cry "BAN THAT MF'ER?"

I used to have the same issue with not hearing where shots were being fired from. After 1.21, I hear everything now. Are you still not hearing all the shots? If not, have you considered taking it off of ultra? Awesome that your wife plays too...I've been trying to get mine to join me, since I show interest in her forum.
Well, I see your point, but in that particular case of the Temple glitch (or any other get-inside-the-building glitch) I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. No I wouldn't ban anyone who is using the single-seat-switching TV guider. Honestly, if everyone wanted absolute balance, then there would only be 1 type of tank, 1 type of rifle, 1 type of pistol, jet, etc.
I've hovered in the Gulf of Oman map by myself in the MEC chopper, and switched seats and TV guided aircraft on the Essex flight deck. Did I do it everytime? No. Could I do it everytime? Maybe, after lots of practice. My point is, I don't deny anyone the ability to get that good at doing that. But, you can bet your a$$ that I will figure out every which way to take him out, whether it's a FAV/HMMVW/VODNIK, or jet or anything else that can kill a chopper.

I guess that was my point all along. If EA leaves bugs and glitches in the game, all you can really do is find something to beat it.
A lot of people whined about the plasma pistol/battle rifle combo in Halo 2, because it's pretty much an instant kill. It was left in the game, so people had to adapt and overcome. Or die crying. The choice was really up to the players...

good for you for not telling ppl how to do it.....as for it being a cheat? i dont think so......i think its stat padding, which is equally bad as cheating, as it bears te same consequences......reeeeseet!!
as for saying it did not impact their scores that greatly....how do you know? sounds like they are achieving resupply badges, possibly combat badges, and a high kill/death ratio....which they would be unable to achieve lagitimatly...because stat-padders dont play the game.....so they have no skill.....they dont know how to actually earn points....they suck.....and they smell like sh!t
anyway, stat-padding is exploiting game mechanics to unfairly gain points...i dont see how this does not fall into that category

I have experience in being banned. Several months ago, I was still playing BF2 vanilla on a Japan server, respawned at one of the choke points full of friendlies. I saw friendlies firing, so I just shot in the same direction. Before long, both sides just got in close quarter. As you know, each one has his name tagged above his head, and some players do have weird names (those you can't pronounce). I was prone, and trying to shoot at someone, pretty sure it's uniform was the US but strangely enough, his name was in BLUE color (i.e. my side)! So I took the shot by accident. And then I was banned a couple of minutes later. Even now, I am unable to join that particular server.
Fortunately enough, I don't play vanilla version that often anymore plus there are plenty of servers out there. But I am sure they are banning by MAC address.
I hate cheating, I never play with cheaters. I also play SWAT 4, players are more mature maybe and they are quite disciplined. So rarely experience any cheating in SWAT 4. Maybe there are more kids who play BF series...
