Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Supporting comment: A squad is in a narrow path half a mile walking towards you, since he is going on a straight line while you are sniping him proned without him seeing you, it seems as he is not moving, but directly going straight, so u can easily L96 his head out.
Mashtur City, Sharqui.....and Warlord when I don't lag too much :)
Karkand can sometimes be okay, depends a lot on how the teams are playing - the battle across the river can be fun, but usually doesn't last long enough. The SVD can rule on Karkand if the situation is right!
It doesn't matter - snipers are only a nuisance most rounds. They don't cap flags, repair, heal, blow up assets, or take out armor or air. If a sniper is a good enough shot or has a good enough hiding place to be more than a nuisance then it is usually pretty easy to hunt him down.
A team with a lot of snipers is a team that will lose.
so where do you get those stats??
i play sniper all the time (unless i run out of ammo)
i cap flags and also DEFEND flags, obviously they dont blow asset's up neither do medic's /support.enginerr's only SPEC OP'S blow assets up(duh?)
as for taking outarmor any class can do that on a statonary rocket thingy or get a tank themselfs!!!
and for the record i take out choopers for fun with my m95,
how do you take out choppers ?? if you not a sniper and not on a .50cal mg or on AA ?
for the record my favorite sniping maps are city maps,
Sharqi peninsula---FAV
karkland---2nd FAV
mansura---3rd fav
wake is fun for long range kills, dragon valley is cool.
i got my expert sniper (rifle pistol only) on karkland in the "hold/take the bridge bit" 38-5
first off, ive probably knifed you if you like sharqi, because thats my favorite knife the no skill-sniper map.
also, when i see somebody take out a chopper pilot with an m95 thats not on their side i will believe it.
i play anti tank, and thats how you take down attack choppers. i routinely shoot them down over wake island or sharqi, where they tend to fly low and stupidly.
i have recently found that the SRAW beats even the noob tube for sheer versatility. you would not believe the number of pkm whores ive taken down close in with sraws, but i can still blast tanks, attack helicopters and apcs to smithereens, as well as take out snipers that are too stupid to move with the sraw! also vodniks and humvees full of 4 guys and transport helicopters are also nice SRAW fodder, especially on mashtuur.
a dao 12 for backup close in seals the bargain.
and snipers, please answer this question. why is it that none of the literally hundreds of snipers that i have fired a sraw at have moved?
they just sit there prone, watching the sraw get bigger and bigger....
more than 10 times ive been shot by the sniper, but had him get nailed by the sraw a split second after.
really not smart guys. also, if somebody is trying to knife you, dont get out the pistol. get out the knife, then youre even, and have a longer sprint range.
ive knifed so many snipers futilly bunny hopping around with a pistol that its really sad.
a team with many snipers is a team thats losing, especially since the vast majority of the hundreds of snipers ive seen hit enemies only coincidentally.
one thing i can guarantee though, is that if youre decent with any sniper rifle, you will get 2-3 times more kills with the svd, and die less. its that much better than the rest of the sniper rifles.
I shot the pilot of an enemy heli once about 6 months ago
I call the SRAW the Toob-noob because no offence but it dosent really require any skills and is pretty noobish:p

well i my favorite server is jolt 01 uk 213.208.119.114 if you ever play there youre welcome to try and knife me or somthing, anyway back to the topic, q'ssnipers, please answer this question. why is it that none of the literally hundreds of snipers that i have fired a sraw at have moved? maybe be they were in zoom and you shot them from the blind side of there view? or they wanted to die due to lack of ammo.
i like to think im a decent sniper and the only advantage a svd has "imho" is rate of fire,
math,
svd 10 shots (possible 10 headshots but highly unlikely)
svd 3 shots per kill = 3kills per reaload if every shot hits +1 spare
my fav m95 5 shots (if you hit 5 ppl in torso they will all have 2 hp left FACT)psitol makes easy picking's
or 2 death's + 1 shot to give -2hp to another enemy,do i need to mention if they pick up a a small hit there dead from the m95
so less shots to do more damage = less likly to be spotted unlike someone ripping svd shots of.
its not that hard to hit a chopper gunner/pilot note its not somthing that happens all the time but if my team need cover then me ripping .50 at the heli will.......
1.make the dam heli move
2.kill the gunner/pilot if im lucky
also 3 anyone driving a jeep in a straight line up the road in direct line of my cross hair is dead.
l96 i love this rifle, headhot's galor reminds me of my ut days with the "heatshot" double kill rampage you could get.....
so accurute but with super scope to top it off and its harder to spot the sound.
snipers are a key part to any wining team,
like they say the small things dont get noticed,
example,
a AT team m8 as a lock on a tank and is being snuck up from behind and i kill the enemy and the team m8 doesnt even realise
also im defending a flag that as stratigic importance so my team can spawn also go unnoticed,
there is a a few new players to sniper that havent got the edge yet but that praccy for you,but a good sniper can read the game better than most players,
they can spot muliple enemy faster than a comander can say "move to this position ect"
this thread was about the best sniping map and not the best at player who can kill a prone (none moving sniper) with a rocket not very skillfull,
lets see you try going head2head on sarki with a bolt action rifle agaisnt some good snipers and see how mutch harder that is.
i hope thats answerd all your'e q's
p.s im not flaming or trying to start a war with you ,just giving a hounest opinion about the q's you asked.
1. Strike at Karkand (got my basic and veterans medals here)
2. Warlord (got my basic and veterans SF medals here)
3. Sharqi Penninsula - great for learning counter sniper observations skills - its crawling with them.
4. Ghost Town - you have to earn your kills on this map. Snipers and armor and attack choppers everywhere!
5. Mashturr City - I don't like playing sniper on there, but I hate the snipers that do!
What is your favourite sniping map? mine is sharqi and mastuur and maybe oman
Oman is not that great of a map for sniping. There are only a few well known sniping points (hotel, crane, warehouse). I have really been sniping a lot on Mash lately with a lot of success.
I hate how people come into this topic and say that snipers are useless.. I can just imagine how many times they were saved by a sniper.
my point also,i agree with you there.
they say the other kits do more capping ect,but they dont realise how many times they are saved from iminant death, but there are players that give a quick thanks now and then, due to the fact they accualy noticed a enemy drop 10 feet from them ect.....
sniping is a art and a skill that takes time and patcience to master, but unfortunaly for us snipers some people just cant quite grasp our efforts.
any map can be a good sniping map, i particularly like Mashtuur and Wake Island. Mashturr because NOBODY looks on the rafters of the bridge when getting sniped at the power station. granted you can only hit the power station from up there, but its a good spot none the less. and i like wake because there are alot of bushes and stuff to hide in.
