Wake has the most obvious spots otherwise it can be fun with noobs. :p

Lol Karkand sucks for snipers tbh, fog kills any decent medium/long shots.

Best map in BF2 for Snipers is offcourse Ghost Town (most kills IAR)
In the SF series Devil's Perch and Warlord come close as well.

In Vanilla it would have to be Sharqi and Masthuur for the high kills IAR score.
Dragon Valley (300+) and Kubra Dam (400+) for the Long Distance kills.

Personal best Long Range shot was on Kubra Dam from the Construction Site flag to the Hangars on the MEC Airfield. That was 436 meters

Go to the stats, and look at the top snipers. They play mostly

1. Sharqi
2. Mashtuur
3. Karkand

Personally i like Mashtuur the best. :)

Which Stats are you refering to, the Kit stats? Those are useless tbh.

Check the guys with Sniper Rifle -stats.

And even still, that doesnt tell you much.

LOL, it's also easy to make fun of people without knowing WTF you're talking about.

FYI I was SL, so it was important I stayed alive. I was located inside the dam structure, near the helipad so that my teamates could steal the chopper whether the flag was ours or not. So I was not in a 'corner' of the map, and I had rounds of 15-0, 13-0 and 12-1, I finally died in the last round.

LoL, yeah I know it was kinda of late when I posted that, but its easy to go 3 rounds without dying while sniping.

on most maps mentioned here PKM fare better than any sniper rifle - karkand and mashur and sharki have fog - it is a no-no for snipers, pkm is better on these maps, been there, done that

for real sniping paradise there are chinese maps - long range, vechicle based, with some infantry that knows not what to do - shongua, daqing oilfields and preferably dailan - THE maps for snipers - pkm still kicks ass there, but sprinting distance is a problem, sniper can smartly outrun most tanks on daqing because of all that trees

but, if one is looking for most-point-IAR-maps for sniper, then of course karkand is greatest - claymore fest.
but definately most enjoyable sniper moments i had on shongua stalemate

I still like Wake. Precisely because many spots are well known. Being effective by using cover and being in the most unlikely places is what makes it fun. Just don't be in those well-known spots.
