Tank whoring is fun on maps with air support. Karkand is no challenge. Try tank whoring on Wake. There's nothing like getting kicked around as infantry on a bad day then jumping in a tank and massacring a squad.

I agree I think the damage of the tank rounds have been reduced or I'm just rusty.

Awesome idea about Black Hawk smashing.

More than anything though I'm an aspiring FAV whore. I love racing to one and people thing I'm going for a plane or chopper then see I wanted the buggy and are like WTF? My goal is to have my highest kill ratio in a buggy and to get Vet. Transport. Running over an entire squad in a buggy is insanely fun. Plus no one fights for them (yet).

I'll never forget when 2 squadmates and I were killed by a sniper then we took a FAV and I ran him over full speed.

Oh while I FAV whore, I'll pick you up on Wake if you need a ride. Nothing more annoying the watching empty jeeps drive by when you need to go half way across the island to get to the fight.

Man I wish that I had some chopper skills. Since I don't the ground is all that's left for me. I see guys who can do mad things in attack choppers and all I can do is flip one over and die. I have yet to flip a tank, so that's where I'll continue to get my freak on

Seriously, does anyone know of a thread or guide for effective chopper flying? I've seen ones about how to be a good gunner, but not one about the art of flying.

I think Secrets of Battlefield has one, not sure though, I'd check but I need sleep.

Anyway a guide will only really tell you the basics, your best bet is to fly around an empty server practice going under bridges on wake to get to know the dimensions of the chopper. Play around with the throttle while banking and pulling the rudder in the opposite direction to circle strafe. Fire on vehicles on the map to get used to your rockets. When you can fly without crashing and have good control play single player to get better at hitting moving targets and getting used to losing a lock from AA etc. Fly the Cobra or Z10 most of the time at the start as well they handle very nicely.

Just keep practicing, it took me ages to get used to flying the things :p. I kept at it due to a fascination and i think im fairly good at it now :p not great but anyway. I suck a bit with the rockets :cry: .

Lol I love buggies, I actually drive around in them for fun occasionally getting them up on their back to wheels and driving around, great fun. Tanks probably get a good kick when they see that and blow me up. I think i did that for a whole round once, probably ****ed off my team but the server was quiet. Got bored waiting for the chopper at the US airfield and theres a nice little hill at the middle (or is it the far side :p) of the runway great for getting the front up.

Find a hump in the road and the front will come up then.......... lol im not sure how i keep it up, I think just keep your finger on the throttle. Dalian plant and kubra have about the best bits for it.

HaHaHaHa YA like the other day i was alone in a blackhawlk and i see a sniper on a hill. So i fly down and sqwish him with the front of the chopper lol , Didnt even make a dent of health and i flew off with the kill lol.

That is one of the best deaths I've heard of. I love it. But it's not the best. I heard about a guy that would push people off of buildings. Now, that rules.

But I like your way as well. Squish that sniper! :rock:

Naw, I find the mouse to be way better for choppers than a joystick. Not sure exactly why, but it's true (for me and all my BF2 playin buddies, atleast). Joysitcks rock for planes, but you're better off with the mouse for the whirlybirds.

I fly with a KB :laugh: Keyboard for the win :rock: Mind you thats after playing with a KB since the Bf42 wake demo :laugh:

I agree. I use the JS for the planes, but it really seems to suck with the helos. Though you get throttle control by using the JS, I feel I have more control of them with the KB and mouse. Weird!

Ya, I don't care much for being an armor whore. But wait?! I have over a hundred hrs in armor and blah blah....ya, i know, so what. I only use armor because of two things...better our team has it and better that someone who knows how to use a tank/apc well use it. So many times have I seen people drive off in the tank/apc just to...well see the vehicle respawn a minute later lol. So though some people call it armor whoring, it is a valuable asset to the team, just as the UAV is. the question really is, would you prefer someone who knows how to use the thing on your side and using it for all its worth helping your team, or for it to be used by idiots that crash into buildings or even just remain unused. I hate using tanks...because its boring...but i'll jump into any armor I see because I know I can better help the team that way.
