I Hath Discovered Armor whorage!

Until just about an hour ago, I had never really armor whored much. I picked up armor from time to time, but generally it was just for opps. Get from point A to point B and blow the fark outta it. Or, to counter enemy armour straight up.

Well, tonight I was playing on Sharqui. My SL desided to hold the TV station. I noticed the tank wasn't taken, so I hopped in before it got stolen and used against us. The rest of the squad was dug in perty good and since I knew I had the tank, they wouldn't have to worry about it respawning and getting swipped. I helped with D for a little bit, but soon desided the tank would be better used elsewhere.

My first run out to the front, I got a perty good kill streak but got ended by the enemy tank. Respawned, grabbed the tank, made a comment about whorage, and rolled out again. Rise, repeat.

By the end of the round, I had learned a lot about how to keep tanks alive longer and punching more tickets. I suddenly understood what armour whoring is all about.

I managed to score both my Armoured Service Ribbon (finally, told you I don't whore much) AND my Good Conduct Medal!

A note:
I love enemy medics. Drop one guy and just wait for the medics to show up. They will and they're free kills.

Just wait, your hooked now. Its like drugs, youll start to sweat and drool and before you know it you be saying " Get out, thats MY Tank". Youll even be looking for those special maps where you can get that Tank a rollin' and punch the tickets round after round. Face it buddy your addicted. . . . . . . . .Red

Yep, once you get that bloodlust in you, you'll be back for more. Now imagine inflicting all that carnage x 3 and you can imagine the buzz you get off a good round in an attack chopper.

Next thing you know you will spawn as engie just to prolong the urge and stave off withdrawal symptoms.

I love hitting choppers with a tank.

I love it even better when i'm anti-tank and take down a chopper solo.

A few rounds, and yeah, you can start to get and maintain scores of 100 or more armor'ing it up. Its really not hard. Not as hard as getting 100 or so points using NO vehical, and a lowly shotgun.
I love getting the highest scores on a server, beating out plane whores and armor whores, using just the shotgun/mines.
But on that note, yes, I too, am probally like you alot. I've done it. I've scored well...........but still its not my "style" to sorta play hide and seek in a piece of armor. Seems kinda, cheap..i guess.

Hehe, I've actually got more roadkills with the choppers than I do with armour. Who says an empty black hawk is a usless weapon?

Ya it gets boring after awhile :laugh: At least it wasnt as bad as Bf42/DC or BFV days lol . I look at Bf2 as being easy compaired to those games lol. At least with Bf2 you have a chance with teh AT kit .

HaHaHaHa YA like the other day i was alone in a blackhawlk and i see a sniper on a hill. So i fly down and sqwish him with the front of the chopper lol , Didnt even make a dent of health and i flew off with the kill lol.

Armor whoring is fun for a while. . . but ground pounding, you will find, over time is much more fun.

Another confession :)

Its a nice diversion from infantry combat to hop in an apc/tank once in a while, and can certainly be hella fun. I've had rounds on Sharqi where I never made it out of the TV station compound, but the USMC was so intent on getting the flag back I had a steady stream of victims rolling in :)

And for those that don't like armor whores, the beginning of the paragraph explains exactly WHY they're needed in maps. You should never spawn and see armor sitting there, unused and hurting your team, and sitting there waiting for the enemy to steal it. Your team benefits from having someone dedicated to keeping that armor in action..
