There was this one time that I killed a lot of people on the other team with lots and lots of bullets, and I got banned for stat padding!!

Yeah... seriously, as long as you were helping out your team, who cares if all you did was use explosives? If that is stat padding, at this rate, pretty soon we'll only be able to fire so many bullets from our guns each round, because too many kills with a fire arm will be stat padding!

I would also think, that if you had been on their server many times before, they would know that you are a good player, and let you run that round with explosives. After all, if you are a "by the rules" player for so long, and it seems that all of a sudden you are padding or cheating, there is a good chance that you are not.

But whatever, there are plenty more servers where that one came from.

You were not stat padding and you should submit that email conversation to BF2rankedservers.com. What you were doing was not, in any way, against the ROE, and as a matter of fact, their kick was a violation of the ROE.

I ran a ranked server 2 weeks after bf2 came out and it was $150/mo back then when the prices were higher. that was from a very popular no lag host.

that said if they are paying that much then they can make the stupid rules.
I agree though that IS NOT stat padding.

Who taught you this ? Stat padding i spadding for points or stats Eg. Purposely setting up people or people from the other team to be killed and ect.

Killing someone in not stat padding. Some define throwing medic and ammo packs stat padding, it's technically not, its part of the game, others saying spawn camping is stat padding but again, YOU DID NOT ARRANGE for him to be killed, your playing or abusing an aspect of the game.

Some of you that have posted here on this topic have played on our server. If you search the world high and low you will find no other complaint on how ~FL~ Admins handle their responsibility of policing this particular ranked server. I repeat this is the first ever complaint ever heard of at ~FL~ or on any other forum.

****A few things to note****

At ~FL~ all members must agree to these rules before becoming an ~FL~ member.

Statute of Respectable Gaming.

Wearing the ~FL~ tag portrays many virtues. However, our most important virtue that we must portray is one of honor and respect for the gaming community. The gaming community will come to understand that those individuals that wear the ~FL~ tag carry along side it dignity and respect for their fellow gamers and as such ~FL~ Members;

• Will not use obscene or abusive language on any server, including our own
• Will not exploit or use glitches/hacks/cheats etc to gain an advantage
• Will not ghost, impersonate or masquerade as another player
• Will not cause drama inside ~FL~ or outside in another clan, community or with any other
individual as it pertains to gaming.

Repeated disobedience to follow rules as stated in the Statute of Respectable Gaming will land that individual outside the boundaries of ~FL~ membership.

Yoohoo313131 and I have exchanged a few emails over this topic and we both see each other points. Yoohoo313131 as well as ~FL~ have shown extreme amounts of patience and maturity in resolving this issue which unfortunately if ~FL~ proven wrong cannot reverse.

So this is where I finally get to insert my 2 cents like everyone else has posted on this thread.

EA/DICE has left only about 99% of the ROE up for interpretation which provides active admins the world round the ability to make judgment calls. Many people will rant and rave about how yoohoo313131 was robbed of his expert explosives badge but we at ~FL~ feel differently.

I have played on quite a few ranked servers where finding an admin to perform a warn/kick/ban is equivalent to snipe hunting http://home.att.net/~coledon/snipe.htm for those of you not from the south its definition is equal to “you’ll never find one”.

Many people have played on our server and there are quite a few regulars. Yoohoo313131 use to be one of them and I hope he returns. ~FL~ admins have banned many people for may reasons and being a SMACKTARD is #1 reason. ~FL~ equates SMACKTARD to TK’ing for vehicles, purposely standing in front of planes so that their teammates cant take off without TK’ing them….you know the sorts.

All that right there in itself makes the game flat out un-enjoyable and that’s just the tip of the iceberg . Ask yourself why do you play the game? To let off some steam not build up more is my motto. So with there being 6554 other ranked servers online and at least 20 online at any given time of the next patched version you can easily leave that server to join another correct?

Well right there folks is the million dollar problem “Loyalty”. Every single clan/person gaming community that pays for a ranked server would like it to be filled 100% of the time in order to get what they have paid for. There are over 1 million players that actively play BF2 and about 50% of them have Special Forces. So as you can see the competition is one of colossal stature. So how do you attract players to a server that you pay $225 a month for and keep them coming back. Well here at ~FL~ we have went ahead and applied our Statute of Respectable Gaming as noted above. We have quickly moved up in the rankings and continue to do so.

So with all that being said our admins monitor the server I would say about 20 of the 24 hours in a day where their main task s is to provide a fair and fun gaming environment.

I would hope that other server admins share the same outlook as we do.

So for me entering the Palace at Warlord to see several enemy claymores laid out that would require several deaths since they can’t be defused or destroyed by grenades any longer since the 1.2 patch. That right there would make the palace an unplayable area of the map for me or for anyone with common sense to look before they leap. This would result in and un-enjoyable gaming environment equal to that of teammates standing in front of vehicles as so that you cant move unless you TK your teammate, I repeat “un enjoyable.” Who wants to play on a server allowing that? Or one where you have a couple of guys that do nothing but base rape?

As server admins if we do not police our server in order to provide a fun gaming environment then our server would not be visited and would eventually resemble something to the that of what the other 6500 ranked servers do……. “EMPTY”……. Oh yeah and the bill for $225 would keep on coming.

In my opinion EA/DICE knowingly left a lot open for interpretation relying on the ranked server admins to become deputy’s of sorts to monitor and provide a fun gaming experience. EA/DICE in no way shape or form could ever know or think of every situation themselves that would make the game un-enjoyable. EA/DICE have left us on the front lines in the fox holes doing our best. So for those of you thinking that we are an immature bunch of asshats banning for no reason then please re-read this whole post again.

My only problem with a well written reply.
The Palace is not the only objective on the map. You may choose another just as easily as I can choose another server.

If you had already captured all other objectives it is not hard to keep the MEC contained in the palace courtyard, Ive done it while commander, with the help of my team. I had fun doing this.

Yes it is your server, however you could have issued a warning first if it bothered you that much.

Bloody hell. I purposely kill people with TV missiles all the time - am I stat padding as well? Is going for Expert helicopter badge, for example, also statpadding? What about Armor badges? Whoring or statpadding - which is it?

Ah, I get it. I should stand in the middle of the street, waving white flag, waiting for people who don't 'statpad' to kill me.

Servers which prohibit kamikaze or jihad jeeps are quite ok, and such rules are fair, since that can be considered a way of statpadding (especially if you don't make an effort to stay alive).

But telling someone he's statpadding because he uses explosives to kill enemies?

OH MY SWEET LORD! If that's stat padding, I'm santa! "You purposely shot you firearm to get points so you stat padded". And as anyone can see from my stats, I don't even like playing sniper as I suck at it, so don't complain about "claymore whoring". Well, what isn't whoring these days. Go and revive someone and you are "medic whore". Shoot someone with GL or throw a grenade and you are a "nade whore". It really doesn't count what you are good at, you are exploiter...

Of course, laying claymores doesn't take too much skill and I hate because those can't be detonated by other means than walking into them. However, it's useless to try to cover your back if you are instantly considered as a "claymore whore". Of course he was purposely trying to get the badge but if that's forbidden, I won't be getting my next rank after few hundred points as I don't still have knife and pistol badges.

To the thread starter: I share your pain, really. This game is so full of dumbasses who just don't get it. In my eyes, you didn't do anything wrong even though I hate those claymores to the bone. I hope you will get your badge eventually.

As much as I hate claymore spammers, it's not stat padding. Personally I think it's a cheap tactic, like ramming, but unlike ramming I see nothing underhanded about it.

If you're so intent on getting the badge, just hop on a 24/7, 64-player Karkand server with 15-20 players max... the round will take SO LONG to finish that you should have the badge before it ends.

How do you think I'm going to get my Aerial service ribbon when I choose to go for it on my new account ? 64-player, low number of people playing and a ****load of time to make some jet kills (because I suck at flying them) :)

Oh! Ban all the Admins....lol they were STAT PADDING! They kicked the poor attention-whore because thier KDR was going down the tubes that round! Dying in a game is not fun, but the ban-hammer is! They used the Ban-Hammer like Judge Judy on Rusty the Bailiff,to exploit a function removing an opponent that was waxing them.

I bet they had a medic with mad revive points too....

Of course this is NOT statpadding, that is just ridiculous. Part of the game IS achieving badges and points, if this is statpadding they should just get rid of the badges alltogether.

Report this to bf2rankedservers.com for admin abuse, you where not stat padding. The admin was in the other team, got owned and kick you , that is a abussive admin. And the person from the server can write a long reply. It still an abusive admin. He was not stat padding. Report it. So if they do the same to others, EA knows about it and take action.

Just hop on 64 map Dragon Valley and use the J-10. It owns anything in the air, making a novice pilot into an ace. I actually had to earn mine, which is devalued now because of how easy it is with the J-10.
