I agree, they should handpick some custom maps, it's a win/win situtation, they don't work on it (lazy bastards), and still, with more maps I'm sure the game will be more fun to play = more people buy.

I totaly agree every month they should have a vote on which custom maps people want to be made official and the 1 with the most vote wins (obviously:laugh: ) 1 free custom map a month would keep the game alive and intresting

if they do that every month it will mean that new players would not only have to download the latest patch but every map that has been released and maps can be anywhere from 20-90 megs. and then have to install the patch and each individual map. they should just do wat they did with all other bf gamesa and release a 3 new maps in the next patch but they said they have no plans to release any more new content for free

right than, what if they gave permission to servers wich run costume map pack 1/2/3 to be ranked so the original and the costume maps wont be mixed up so if you dont have the extra maps you wont have to leave the game cus you dont have the next map. how is that?

I agree too! Run it like a contest, have the maps submitted and then we all vote. They announce the winners. Do their balanceing act and we get the map(s) after that.
That way we could get at least 3 or 4 new maps and it would/should be very little work for EA. Again, A great idea! . . . . . .Red

If they do that, you create an extreme exploiting system .

you can create custom maps where

- rouds take forever
- totaly unbalanced
- create glitches in for your own use
- etc ....

Then EA/DICE won't select those maps to be accepted as ranked. It's that simple.

they will NEVER EVER let tbf2's map packs become ranked, simply because 2/3 of them are ****. i was amazed how some of the maps even got added :laugh: :laugh:

I'd much rather do away with the whole damn retarded ranking system and allow full customization which is what sets PC gaming apart from the rest of the pack. Customization of servers, maps, clients (reasonably limited like Source) would give the game a much longer life time. I don't see anyone on these boards getting their 10 billionth point on karkand anytime soon or in the future.

I'm not talking about ALL costume maps just the ones EA test and allow to be ranked...
