Re: Just played the new patch, I'm sorry but..
Nice to know someone from Dice is reading the threads here. As far as the PKM, it is a brutally powerful weapon, just as it is in real life. However, if you find yourself on servers that are loaded with people using it, it is definitely time to find some more reputable servers. I play mostly on clan servers and I never see that because they tend to have a more watchful group of ethical admins.
The biggest drawback to the game right now is the lack of maps and new content. Pesonally, I do not want to pay for a "booster" pack that contains 3 maps. That seems ridiculous to me. Give us like 5 or 6 maps, sure I'll buy that. I'll tell you what, I sure miss the final version of DC. there were so many maps available for that game it was insane.
Another issue is that people new to this game want to be as skilled as the people that have been playing from day 1. Many "veterans" are mad because the game play has been changed radically. They complain about helos and aircraft being "too powerful", well the only thing I have to say is that is the way it is in real life. You cannot always hit a jet with a stinger, Im sorry but this is the truth. IF that bothers you, get day of defeat or play the xbox version of BF2. A tank will always be more powerful than handgrenades, etc. It's quite tragic that no one cares or bothers to learn to use the jets or helos, instead all they do is cry about the vehicles being too powerful. You cannot expect to buy a game and "own" the 1st day, not when it is one that requires skill, and not when it is against online players.
I would hope that Dice also take this concept into consideration before making changes that will leave a puzzled look on the 60% or so of the players that have been here since day 1.
Finally, the issue about ranks is pretty bad, I think this is the more "obvious" reason for stat padding. If the ranks were based on time spent with kits and aircraft instead of points, then it would have been a different game all together. You cannot cheat time.
Solution: Get used to the low quality servers you seem to visit frequently, or find better servers. Stop complaining about the people that have different "styles" than you do. If you have the same exact opportunities to use the same weapons & tactics but you refuse to, then that moral dilemma is yours and no one elses. Enough already.

Nothing to really excite over, but it's comforting to know that their eyes meet our threads, yes? I'm impressed with how they're handling these patches, and I'm pretty confident that they'll clean up this mess.
