Just played the new patch, I'm sorry but..

I realize there are already tons of whiny threads and posts out there in regards to the new patches, but I'm sorry. I have to mention the one thing that I very, very strongly feel has ruined bf2. I just came back from playing 15 minutes of it and I'm too disgusted to even keep playing. What I experienced upon my first and last (for awhile until this **** is cleaned up) game is among the following:

- PKMs. Everywhere. Not only is this a rare gun that marines wouldn't be packing, but everyone is using them. What's wrong with this community, why is it that people have to play for the points? I loved the PKM before, and now I refuse to use it and see it as a wasted unlock simply because I WILL not use a weapon that gives me a disgusting advantage over everyone. If you play this game solely to win you're very sad a sad man. kplzthx

- Nade spamming. Was it bad luck? I see that now ammo is plenty, nades are being used as artillery and mortar barrages. They're thrown blindly into chokepoints and you can't get any action because.. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang. The exploding will simply not stop, and I see no fun in this, even (especially!) for the person throwing them?..

- Claymores. As plentiful as the PKMs. Not only do I have to deal with getting slaughtered in close quarters by PKMs when I have a DAO but now alleys are unnaccessable because claymores are everywhere.

-Snipers. Are everywhere. In squads, all over. Stupid. That's all I have to say.

I hate succumbing to these 'omg bf2 is ruined cry' threads, but I have to get it out somehow, it's almost tragic how something so good has been molested so badly. With how soon the patch 'fix' came out, I can only hope that repeated whining and crying about the problems that REALLY matter will wake Dice/EA up and fix this.

i think u just had mad luck dude, that sounds exactly like my first experiences after 1.2, but right now i rarelly find those problems, maybe the ones u spoken of the one that is most common to see is the PKM's being used by alot more ppl now, u are right the gun is kinda overpowered now, even when ppl are standing up they seem to hit me with alot more accuracy than before, it certainly has to be fixed, but the rest is kinda rare now, except the grenades, the grenade spamming became a battlefield thing since bf1942, it was here before the patches.


play a little more with friends, thats what i do now, i only play BF2 with my clan members and we allways have a good time, the game is getting annoying to play alone against unknown ppl.

did i use to many " , " ? i'm kinda slow today i cant do anything about it :P

I havent played it yet, just installed it, brb.

But something i always find is, EVERYONE has a damn AT rocket. I can drive anywhere and it seems at everyflag there is a guy with a AT rocket, grrr.

Lol, probably just bad luck like you said, I suspected that. Just had a really really bad game that made BF2 look horrible. Stupid idiots with ghillie suits and mad PKMs running around, claymores everywhere, and nades exploding nonstop into alleyways. Not only that, but alleyraping with APCs and tanks in karkand seems to have become more and more popular. It's pretty much impossible to have fun if you focus on infantry now, or at least that's the impression I have now. And yes, the PKMs were killing me standing up/running, and instantly. And I had a DAO.

Hehe, that's probably me. Been playing a lot of AT since when I try to counter the PKMs with the G3/medic weapons, the vehicle whores get me, so I'm pretty much forced to stick to the ERYX now. I get lots of kills just blowing people up since you don't get much luck with the DAO anymore.

Get over it and just use the damn gun, you wasted enough time trying to unlock it. Stop trying to be such a damn "moral" player. If you can't adapt to the PKM changes then you are just bound to come on here and bitch about it.

-Grenades
I honestly rarely use nades except on Karkand and it's quite common place to see damn near everyone in the server tossing so many nades that it starts to sound like an Mi-28 is hovering somewhere. If it bugs you that much then stop walking to your death in areas that you know are gonna get spammed. It's really quite simple.

-Claymores
I definitly agree about this, something has to be done about these stupid mines. At the very least your team should be able to spot them. Hell, if you go through some of the sound files in your BF2 folder you will find VO's from the commander saying "Enemy mine spotted!"

-Snipers
Every game that has snipers is always gonna have an over abundance of people playing as a sniper. There's nothing that can be done about this unless you want to partake in a sniper war. Or you can be like me and hunt down every last damn sniper with an APC and make them your pet.

Uh.. Your optimism doesn't work here.

1. It's not about being moral, it's about having fun, and the PKM won't last long the way it is. Also, I didn't spend all that time unlocking it, I used it and had fun with it before it was ruined. Instead of 'adapting' to it, I think I'll go about fixing the problem by voicing out the issue like quite a few already are. The latest patch came out pretty damn quick, people shouldn't be so fast to say the company doesn't care.

2. Did I say I was walking into the naded areas? Instead of presuming, get the fact that I'd rather go in there and get some instead of watching a bunch of nades go off because some ***** behind the fence wants a couple kills that didn't require skill to get.

3. The sniping class was fine before. You agreed on the claymores, and that alone is enough to satisfy my problems on this one. To be honest, I don't get sniped much at all out and when I try the class myself with that spiffy new L96, I just eat them all up and effortlessly at that. My beef is just how stupid the over abundance of ghillie suits looks and how snipers are showing up very frequently in squads now- More of an annoyance than a real issue. Personal preference.

Concluding: The PKM is a problem and there's no reason to adapt because it won't last long. And if it does, I feel it ruins the game. Don't give me a 'stop whining and get used to it' post, you proved nothing. Just opinion dearest.

If you dont like it dont play simple


PKM does not give you an advantage 1 on 1 i still win with the assault/specops/medic standard weapons.

The other things you moaned about i have not encountered so i think you were just unlucky wrong server wrong time kind a thing

PKM only works standing up or crouching when NOT MOVING. How does that smell to you? Like dead meat to me.

You cant expect that a game with a totally awsome machine gun that ppl wont use it alot.
Or nades wont get used.
Or you wont get sniped.
Or you will fail to see a claymore planted in the grass.

I hafta say that this is the way games work and to learn to play with it.
keep an eye out for claymores. throw nades before the other guy does.
etc.

I dont see how most of these problems can be fixed.
Sure the PKM can be slightly downgraded. Mabye make claymores easy to see?

Its not like they can fix the excessive spamming of nades enless they put on a nade timer which has a certian cooldown between nades or some **** like that. whoich would be incredibly GAY!

Ok i just played and the same stuff that i dident like way back when is still there. tanks and apc's move way too easy, and are always there. Thats like my main thing are armor, too much and too good.

I dont mind the PKM its what the supports are made to do. did they fix the p90 so its like a p90?

I feel your pain, dude... but being the helo whore that I am, I rarely ever fight on the ground so it's a little harder for me to identify with what you're writing about. One thing's for sure though: Karkand gets annoying fast when everyone spams claymore, uses PKM and forget about the medic kit.
