Re: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

    Saw the teaser videos....

I want this game so much now.

I had Morrowind, but I got bored too quickly, but this should be great.

I usually don't play these types of games but since my brother got it I thought I would try it out. It's not bad, it can be kinda spooky at times. I am not really into the spells and magic stuff like that so I either tend not to read about it or pay attention to that part (which I probably should). I do like lock picking though. I think its pretty fun to lock pick into someones house and go in and see what stuff they have. I just started doing quests (before I was just wandering around) which is fun also.

As far as settings I am not really sure. I am not running fraps everytime I launch the game so I don't know what my fps is and I don't know the command to show it in game. Although there has not been any point where I have noticed lag. Just mess around with the settings and see what happens.

Also added more screenshots. Found a bug / glitch with the rats.

Morrowind was the best, picking up oblivion in two hours

I just got it, awesome game.

I also just got the new issue of Pcgamer in which they gave it a 95%

              Here are their highs:
Incredibily dynamic and detailed virtual world;involving quests; beautiful graphics; epic plot.
Lows: High system res; enemies always scale to your level, lessoning the reward of character advancement.

What is character creation like, I seen one of these screenshots, can your character be this bad ass?

(eternal souljah): You cant actually create your character to look like that in the beginning. You would have to pick up all that armor off of someone you killed.

But you can completely customize your character's face by messing with the proportions.

Alright ty, but from reading up it seems that the character in the image has ''Daedric'' armor, and im guessing that you can pick this up off an enemy?

Oh yeah if you have this game tell me how good it is, pros and cons etc, just to hear from a all-round gamer.

But, could be also that the armor looks like that.

The game is simply awesome. If you're into RPG, this game is definitely for you. The only con about it from my side, is that it's possible to make the game easier or harder any time in game, making it less challenging.

Re: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Well I just bought a new monitor. A 20 inch Viewsonic. So when I run oblivion at max settings @ 1680 x 1050 it pretty much cripples me. 20-40 fps My video card is a 7800gt but I should be getting a evga 7900gtx super clocked whenever my queue spot comes up. Although I don't know how much it will help.

I spent half an hour with my elderly mage playing with dead bodies.
