Never played any of these games, only RPG I played and liked was Final Fantasy X, but this looks good because its First/Third person, Good graphics, stats building, longetivity.

Its on play.com for £24.99 or the collectors edition for £29.99 and it says the 24th.

Games dates seem to be wrong, they think Ghost Recon AW will be released on 31st of this month.

Just watch the trailers and previews on IGN man, you can play 1st or 3rd person

Trailers generally consist of only the in-game cinematics, not the actual gameplay. And for previews (I presume you meant screenshots), again, there is no way of knowing if one is looking through the character's eyes or if you are looking at the player character him/herself. (Actually, based on screenshots alone, I'd guess it's again in the first-person view.)

So, Einstein, please point me to the trailer or screenshots that will definitively answer my question. Thanks!

Well it's kind of obvious that it would have 3rd and 1st person considering all the Elder Scrolls games have, but assuming you have never played them (If you did then I stand corrected):

Both in-game. If you want to believe that the 3rd person screenshot is just a picture of the players backside then it's not my problem, but its a fact that it'll be both 1st and 3rd person

It's been in development since mid 2002, that suggests that it will be a well done game, e.g not many glitches, well made.

Riiiigghhhttt.... so implying that I'm an idiot (with your screenshots) and then saying "it's not [your] problem" whether I believe you or not is all friendly banter to you, eh?

And about those screenshots, you actually only proved my original point. In that shot from behind, there is nothing in the picture that tells you whether or not it is a picture of the the player from behind or just some NPC you are sneaking up on.

As the FAQ I linked to states, the game is designed for a first-person perspective, as I feared. One can go third-person, but it's from a vantage point behind the player, not an isosymetric viewpoint like in other games (D&D, Baldur's Gate, NWN, etc.). That type of third-person view is a joke. Everything is obstructed by your player character, so it's pretty much worthless in terms of playability.
