    Re: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

    I just figured out how to edit the Oblivion.ini file to allow screenshots...

    For some reason, it's turned off by default?!?!

        I see theres a ton of options that can be fiddled with in the .ini. Thats good news for those who will have problems with the graphics and what not. The line(s) i've been looking for are to set the menu cursor move speed. Found 2 lines but they didnt make a difference. must keep looking.

          Here's something I found at another forum;

          There's two .ini files called Oblivion_default I believe... one in the normal directory and one under "My Documents\My Games\Oblivion"

          I ended up editing both to say "bAllowScreenshots=1" (it was "0" by default) and "iScreenShotIndex=1" (also "0" by default)

          Then you press Print Screen to take a screenshot. It saves to the Oblivion directory as a .bmp

                    OMG OMG this sucks the game killed my video card! I was playing 640 x 420 everything off right and I got like 10 fps. Then suddely I smell smoke and was coming from my computer!! this sucks I only played 10 minutes so I can't tell you about the game. My video card was a 5700le. Apparently the fx familey isn't powerful enough to run the game.

                          How is that the games fault? you failed to check system specifications and you blame the game for hardware failure?

                          Right..
