Eh, I don't see a problem with this at all. Unlike Bunny Hopping and Dolphin Diving, this is a tactic. Not an exploit. And you know why? Because, if you think enough, you can use other tactics to overcome whoever is doing this. Personally, I'd prefer coming up against someone like this over someone who sees me and hits the ground spraying, because unlike that, this actually presents a valid challenge to overcome.

I use this when playing a sniper on Karkand. Just get into one of the towers by the bridge and do it. Works great.

I've also been killed by it a bunch of times.

Nothing wrong with it. It's a tactic that uses cover to win, which is realistic.

All right, all right. I'm glad I didn't mention the guy's name because some of you seem to take this waaaay too seriously. Let me clear up a few things:

1. I'm not complaining about the fact that the guy got the best of me (on more than a few occasions). I was just trying to figure out how he was doing the up/down so fast behind cover with the patch (again, I forgot about "crouch").

2. Yes, I did exaggerate with the "blink of an eye" statement for the most part. Although sometimes with lag it would be more of a "flash" than any type of fluid up / down motion.

3. I believe this would be an acceptable *real* military tactic. "I'm up, they see me, I'm down" is the phrase I learned at Paris Island USMCRD. We were taught to try and not expose ourselves for longer than it takes to say that phrase (generally speaking). Of course in real life you can't set your sights on the target and pop up and down without losing them, but you don't respawn 15 seconds after dying either. It's a game. I enjoy it....as a GAME.:p

4. I had the chance to play alongside the guy in a squad last night...he's a d*mn good player. He routinely got 35+ kills without using any type of even remotely questionable tactics. He just ran around the maps about 2 steps ahead of everyone else. It was like being with the "good" officer from the Band of Brothers DVDs (Richard Winters). The guy just instinctively knew "where", "when" and "how". It was weird.

It's a lame tactic that you can hit prone twice and go to the floor? Wow....I guess not everyone has hand eye coordination after all....Maybe the xbox version would be better for ya?

It's not a lame tactic by any means. It's funny how if a tactic works, people start whining because they get killed by it.

I assume that you, and the others on your side of this discussion are guilty of one of three big errors:
1- You don't understand what is being discussed. It's not just 'taking cover'. Reread the first post
2- You didn't read my previous posts at all (see page 2, posts by Diarrabies)
3- You consider simply stating your position to be an effective argument

Would all the people posting crap like this guy please run through this simple list and then speak your peace in the form of a clear and reasonable argument.
