I don't know how the commander score is calculated but it's not the average. Many times I've gottne the HIGHEST score on my team being the commander, this would be impossible if it was just the average.
Anyone know how the commander score is calculated?
Lates
dude, the commander score is the average for the team plus the points you get from people using supply crates I think..
Oh man...I thought we settled the 'commander score' issue a while back.
Commanders do NOT get points for:
-flags capped
-spotting
-enemies killed while under UAV radar
-having squads perform orders successfully
-people using supply crates
Commander score is based solely on the scores of players on the team. The only real debate that remains is whether the combat actions of the commander him/herself actually affects the team average, thereby affecting commander score.
Here is what people forget, on Wake there are two Phalanx systems. One by the spawn point and the other Left of the Tower. No body uses this and that is where the Cammader should be as well as a joe in the other. The Commander can see a Bogie coming toward the Essex and signal for an AA Barage. IF yused properly the Bogie has to go throu a gauntlet of 16 Missles and 2 Vulcans coming and going.
Of course this never works because people are too busy TKing for Planes.

Exactly they are called Phalanx Systems. Supprised there are no Squids on here to correct them.

It's called the Phalanx right?.. something like that..
edit: oops... didn't read post above me... lmao
I just thought of something. What if a friend is commander, and you get a good score in a jet or something... what if he resigns and you fill in? Does it move your points down to the team average? Or does it keep your current points... and then DOUBLE them?
you gain commander points as your team gets points, so jumping in at the end will not net you the average of you team's score, just the average earned while you were commander.
Nothing ****es me off more then the carrier getting bombed and shot up....And your commander is chilling in the damn essex... Not shooting back because he is commanding...
GET THE F(#$ OUTTA THE ESSES DONKEY.
Go jump in the ocean and command.... Probably the safest place near the carrier.
You're the only donkey around here.
Who cares where the commander sits, as long as he/she is doing their job properly and they're not flying around in a jet.
I love to just chill in that AA at the far end....while luring in those unexpecting pilots into my evil trap. Good plan as is frees up the other AA for the whores that are getting stomped at the other end.
The commander score is the sum of all commander points earned. The commander points are every point earned by a member of your team during your reign as commander divided by the total of living team members at the given time.
Kills with artillery will count towards you global kills and kills with the kit you are using but do not directly add points to your score.
After each round has finished the commander of the winning side will have his points for that round doubled.
Total points EARNED by team/ number of players on team= commander commander score
Total points EARNED by team/ number of players on team x 2 + commander negative score (teamkills)= Winning commander score
Artillary strikes cant count positively to ur score, but can count negatively if u hit ur teammates. Its best to use artillary strikes selectively since u get points for when ur teammates kill enemies and not when you kill them, in any way (even if u knife the enemy commander in the elbow)
If someone disconnects halfway through game u still get that persons contribution to the score (good or bad) just only for that half of the game. Im not going to try to explain that.

Ok, a guy from DICE replied about what the commander score is, so this poppycock has to stop. Artillery has NO ****ING EFFECT ON YOUR SCORE...positive or negative. Actually, that's not true, every enemy you kill with artillery, is two less points someone on your team could have received to add to your final total, so large arty strikes are sometimes necessary, but counter productive to your command score.
