well...some people alway punish because waste of time, if i got 1 seat jet and accident kill me...that a waste of ime because people waiting for jet only 1 seat and people rushing to get it.

ARE PPL STUPID???? i dare anyone that punishes for tk's from AA to post here good reasons for punishing.

why do i get kicked just for trying to help keeping the sky clean when everyone knows AA TK's are accidental?

i'm tired of this crap, can anyone tell me if anything is going to be done about AA or about the punishing system that makes stupid kiddies feel powerfull for taking 6 points away from ppl?
My current Team to Enemy hit ratio is no less then 4:1. Yes around 80% of my hits from missile in a jet are due to friendly AA fire. The vast majority of those, comming from the ground and not from other jets. People whined the AA is not effective enough. They also whined about accidental kills caused by jets and boy did they punish...
So now the AA is effective, but alas, missiles hit firendly jets when you direct the AA towards an enemy aircraft which is in a dog fight with your own team's jets.

Learn not to shoot AA when you see your enemy aircraft on the radar close by, and certianly when it is in your view. EVER. This requires skill, something jet pilots know a thing or two about cause they constantly have to check and recheck their radar and their view so they won't drop bombs on friendlies who always punish.

I'm gonna punish you. More over, if another idiot operating the AA from my team will hit me three times in the same round ever again, I'm gonna drop every thing I got on his post.

Learn when not to shoot. Don't spam missiles.

You all suck who punish for TK for an AA. I was shooting at a enemy jet and some how it killed my team jet that was chasing it. There is a big x on a friendly jet, so of course I am not going to fire at it, I was firing at the enemy. I could not believe my eyes when I saw the rocket hit my team jet . Jets are harder to kill due to their flying speed, but they still are shot down after the 1.2 patch....thanks EA/DICE....now just fix the TOW and I'll be happy

This is exactlly when you shouldn't shoot. The same way I shouldn't drop bombs near friendly forces, you don't shoot at enemy jets when you see friendlies.
It is a must to punish players like you.
When shooting at an enemy jet while you can see a friendly one, it means you are shooting at a friendly jet. Actually this is worse then enemy missiles, since you hear the lock only after the missile passes the enemy so you have less time to do anything.

BF2 AA missiles are still in the 50s! Many a time have I fired at enemy aircraft only for it to hit a friend miles away.

I don't pretend to be an expert on AA missiles but as far as I know they tend to be smart enough to recognise a particular heat source from another. Isn't that why some aircraft such as c130s basically spam flares like anything because a few do jack all nowadays?

Wrong, the best time to shoot down a jet is when it is being chased, then it can not take out the AA on the ground. I had a lock on him, but for some strange reason it hit the other heat source even with a lock. If you was chasing a jet and all of a sudden it blew up, wouldn't you be and then you could go bomb the enemy or attack the helos:laugh:

no one here said anything about spamming missles or shooting while flares are falling.

looks like you allways punish even if it is accidental, if u just like to increase the size of ur e-penis by allways punishing ppl then i pitty you.

Dude for one thing most people would not be behind you shooting. Also, most AA tks come from the ground. We both know that the 1.2 made AA do 180s in a 0 turn so sometimes because of the bugs we get punished for whose fault? EA and DICE!!! I never ever punish unless its because someone shoots me for a jet/helo or just plains shoots me for no reason. If I get in their line of fire then thats my fault. If someone throws a grenade then thats an accident and accidents happens. Peeps needs to start thinking about their Teamates and the Teamwork instead of themselves.

Re: Punishing for accidental AA TK are ppl stupid?

All this complaining about punish. Since AA can take out a jet with two or three hits now, there should be risks using it. While I wouldn't say I spam AA, I do use it when the jets get aggressive on ground targets. And sometimes I hit friendlies by mistake. And sometimes they punish. Just the way it goes.

The whole punish thing in general irks the crap outta' me.I generally only punish if it's a blatantly obvious intentional TK, other than that I hit Page Up and respawn.

I can't tell you how many times I've been "Insta Punished" by people, drives me up the wall.
My favorite is the asshat who you forgive for the TK, he turns around and punishes you when the shoe is on the other foot.

The "Punish or Forgive" thing needs to be replaced altogether, too many eight year olds out there punish without thought.

In this instance, your teammate SHOULD have punished. DUH, if you shoot at an enemy jet, but your freindly jet is closer/in range you are going to hit the first heatsource (being your friendly jet). Shame on you.

I agree with most of this, however I do believe that if someone is constantly firing AA's and hitting friendlies they should be punished. If only to send the message that they need to be more careful while operating the equipment.

When you have the PKM and there are 3 enemies downrange but 2 friendlies in front of you you don't spam bullets and expect not to hit your teammates do you?
