I often punish for AA teamkills. Why? If I'm chasing an enemy jet and am within 30m of him, you should NOT be shooting missiles at him. Especially if you're directly behind me. Why? because they hit me, and they kill me.

i dont shoot when thats the case i'm talking about rockets that go hit choppers or planes in allmost the other side of the map.

might aswell add another thing,

it also happens when i'm chasing another plane at close range and the missiles miss, they usually go hit friendly vehicles and i get punished yet again.

Well... I've only been playing for nearly 2 months now but I've got over 100 hours and I've never been booted from a server for TK's, and I've had some PRETTY BAD ROUNDS. Iv'e gotten plenty of punishes and most have come since the 1.2 patch. Whenever I do AA from the ground, I always get a team damage or kill which leads to a punish sooner or later. But never kicked. If you're getting kicked left and right, then somethings wrong. With YOU! No offense man, but the only thing Iv'e ever been booted for is bad language.

Anyway, when you're on the otherside of a team kill, you tend to "trust the computer". If the computer told you that so-n-so team killed you, you think "wtf!" and punish. The way you see it, is he shot you on purpose since you didnt see what he really did. It's easy to be punished because of persepective. Just deal with it and move on or play on servers that don't allow punishing.

Its the buggy AA. If you're having trouble with missles, use your guns.

They hit the friendlies because they're dropping flares. If you shoot just as they're deploying, then you'll hit near their plane. It's simple thermodynamics coupled with physics. It sucks, but it's pretty realistic and unfortunately makes sense.

ever heard of servers with auto kick on? loads of them out there, and i usually dont punish ppl if they say sorry wich is the case, if someone say sorry and u have no reason to believe it was on purpose why go right to the punish button like a bloodthirsty vampire bat? most of the time when i press enter to insert the "sorry" word i'm alredy punished.

tk punish should be removed from the game in all servers, it makes ppl go moronic.

I mentioned this in a post yesterday, but I'll say it again. At this point I'm pretty fed up with DICE's inability to code proper missles. Since they obviously can't get it right, they should at least give us a break and turn friendly fire off for AA missles while they work on fixing them (although by now I have serious doubts in their ability to ever fix them).

It would be one thing if they only TK'd because you did something dumb, like shooting missles at a plane that one of your friendly planes is chasing, but these missles will fly right up to an enemy plane only to break off at the last second to go kill a team mate 200 yards away.

its what saladfork said above and he is right, but anyone rarelly shoots at a plane beeing chased by a friendly the prob is the various choppers flying around the map, no matter where they are the friendly AA missles will allways and up on them, it might be realistic like the other dude said but at least ppl should not punish for it or at least wait for a "SORRY"

I too don't punish if someone says they're sorry or if I realize it was my own fault. And yes, I've heard of auto-kick. I've been on servers that autokick at 3 TK's. Know what I did? play super careful after 2 tk's. It sucks. I'm agreeing with you. Most TK's are totally accidental and people punish for them immediately. Most people punish regardless of whether you appologize or not. Somtimes, in the heat of the moment, anger takes over and a punish happens, then you'll say you're sorry, and they'll say it's okay no big deal. I half agree and half disagree that punishing is bad. It's a usefull tool when you're not an admin and getting taken advantage of, and in my view that's worth the times when its abused. There's no way to make everyone happy or control punishment systems perfectly.

Maybe you should just stay off of AA until the hotfix, or rethink how you fight. Delay you're fire for a split second to see if your friendly up ahead is deploying flares. AA is buggy in this patch, but once it's fixed it'll be more realistic and you'll be able to use common sense. Until then it's just flexing to the game unfortunately. Good luck!

I'll admit that I'm new to gaming and online gaming. I'll also admit that I don't know everything. I'm completely open to whatever you have to tell me so please don't think I'm trying to be elitist or whatever. But from my limited experience, I can only say that Battlefield 2 is the most complex and high res game ever made. So it only goes without saying that it's hard to fix all the bugs. Everyone calls me an EA bitch or sympathizer, but I'm having the same issues as everyone else. I'm just realistic. This is A LOT of freakin code. Just stop for a second and imagine how amazing it is that the hard work of hundreds of people typing lines of text into a computer ended up being this GAME. A game you enjoy every day and hope to always get better.A game that's so user friendly that dozens of complete replacement mods are being develooped for it. A game that can be changed by altering text documents.

Yes, I'm peed of by the this and the that. Everything that glitches annoys me. It costs me points, and makes me want to stop playing the game from time to time.

But man, it's just such an amazing game that nothing else compares to. Which just shows how complicated it is!!!

Quake wars will probably beat it. I've no doubt that BF2's days are numbered. But it pointed the rest of the industry in a direction that was obviously very financially sound, for them and for whoever was innovative to lean on them (getpaid2play for example). The only way for BF2 and the future of FPS to go is up. While this may suck for you right now, the next patch may fix it, and the next game might circle it, while the game after that might be something from your strongest and brightest dreams.

Just take it a step at a time and try to be accepting of faults. You're not hte only one suffering here and you're not the only one the company is trying to cater to.

heheh yep it acrually was two thumbs up for Jofaba, tks for the understanding and the comments from you guys actually made me calm down :p good to know that not every thread in this forum does not have to end with a flamefest and ppl can actually understand each other, congrats for the ppl who posted her

its just that i play multiplayer games for a long time since quake 1 :P and untill now BF2 has been the most annoying in terms of other players, but yes it is true that Battlefield is a game way above any other in game experience and does feel amazing when rounds go well :)
