Combined with it's power at short range, it's all around the best assault weapon in the game. In all honesty, the G36E kills me faster at short range then the AK, F2000 or the G3. One 3rd burst is the same as a one shot kill, it happens time and time again.
On multiple occasions I've hit a medic running and he ducked behind cover while I had to wait out the completely unrealistic reload on the bolt rifles. He heals up and then sneaks around and starts shooting at me. Usually I end up hitting him but not a head hit. While I'm reloading again he will almost always kill me as I don't have the ability to self heal.
I'm by no means a poor shot and I routinely hit people running and get head hits. I just find that shoulders get hit more often then head hits when firing from an above angle at 100m or so. Could be related to the times you see someone with a puff of dust coming off their head but the shot doesn't register. Anyway, the point is that the medic rifle is accurate enough to act in a counter sniper role, while he has the ability to revive, heal and toss nades.

I think that as a medic he should have all his healing abilities but be running around with something like an MP5. The medic class has huge offense and huge defense abilities which no other class offers. I think they should be brought a bit more in line with the rest of the classes.
No, if it aint broke, dont fix it. Remember the tendencies of EA to go completely overboard when it comes to makeing changes that should be subtle. It's all or nothing with EA. That sucks.
Medic is perfectly fine, if you are getting frustrated and killed by medics, play DOD Source, no medics there.

would you mind telling me which class the G36K belongs to here? (I really want to know, I love the G36 series)

      I haven't seen the G36K in AF2, BF2, EF2, or SF2 (yet)
the G36k is not an unlock, it's the default SAS Spec Ops gun. You probably never noticed it beacuse it looks almost exactly llike the g36c, save for a longer barrel.

The G36E is way too much. Its ridiculous how little recoil it has, how much damage it has, and how easily it kills people at any range. People use Medic as a second assault class. If you're going to make it an unlock, at least make it for assault. The medics should have slightly inferior guns to assault (the L85A1 was perfect), and they should take more time to heal, to balance out Assault and Medic more. Or just make the M16 equal to the G36E.

press 2, you'll equip something called a pistol...shot him with that...

Burts are the problem with the 6E, otherwise its a great akk round weapon esp at long range. But I'd rather the L85A1 because it's not burst, Easy to nail people with it, it's not the ****weak gun before 1.2 anymore.

                    I actually like Burst-Fire better than Auto-Fire

i beleive the G36e to be the best gun in the game, even more so than the PKM. It really makes the medic overpowering. I think the medic is a "little overpowered". I like to play medic because i can always heal myself after killing someone, that way imm always at full for the next fight. I think the medic should only have a pistol or mp5. they really are a little powerful.

i play as medic a lot i used to be good with the 3 shot burst, and even ignored the unlock once i got it, but recently have found the long range ability of the medic unlock is very useful. at close range i am not too good but from a distance in single shot mode its pretty easy to pick people off. that makes my play style change since now i wil tend to stay back and try to take people out from a distance, only rushing in if i am needed to revive or heal team

I meant when your up against full auto's such as assaults. Say you come up to a Ak 101, PKM, SAW, I doub't you'll take them out easily. It's not a good close range gun.

meh, I aim for the upper body, usually I can pop off 3 bursts and get under cover in roughly 3 seconds

And they did, in fact, nerf the G36E? Well that explains it then. I've used it a few times post-patch and it seemed to miss more than it used to in 1.12. I figured it was just my suckiness kicking in or perhaps even lag. At least now I don't feel completely crazy.

havn't tried the new patch out yet, nerfing could be possible.

Actually I just checked the numbers and they did increase the standing deviation mod to 1.5 and the crouching to 1.3, but they lowered the prone deviation mod from 1.1 to 1.0, so now it's less accurate than it was while standing, crouching, or moving about, but it's actually more accurate when prone. Almost as accurate as the SCAR-L and AK74-U.
