Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
I played to get basic pistol and knife because i'm close to my next rank and don't want to miss it because of two crappy badges, so i guess the answer is yes.
Currently planning to get as many medals as possible, I'm always trying to get at least 4-5 things at once, if you try to get 1 at a time it would take too long.
I'm after my War College ribbon at the moment, i have 50 command hours I just need 3:1 Win:loss which means lots of server with teamswitch allowed. Its going to take another 550 wins lol, then that will be all the normal ribbons, i have all but 3 of the SF ribbons (well 2 if you discount the impossible one)
Will have gold commander soon, gold support and gold resupply I'm also working towards, while I command I sit in the ground defense so im heading towards gold in that as well, well on the way to getting several more medals and all at 40,000 points :)
I think the 250 hours as one team for the medals is a little steep, it should definitely be 100 or less, and the 4,500 hours for SF medals is just plain stupid.
I think its a safe assumption that if you're playing for medals that you also play for fun, it's not a job, nor can i really imagine anyone playing something they dont have fun playing, just for the sake of medals.
No, i play for fun and i play for 'our' team to win, however, for ribbons and medals, if i feel like i wanna get one, i go into a server to specifically get it, and that means i'm playing for myself, and this brings out the bad things in the game. that said, to go and specifically try to get some of them, is a whole lotta fun in its own right. The two things are totally seperate, and should be played as such. imo!
That being said, there is quite a bit of fun pursuing difficult badges. I'm looking forward to the Expert Knife challenge (and the Expert Pistol challenge in 5,000,356 more kills, or whatever the ridiculous number is). Trying to get those Expert AT and Assault were monsterous challenges, that each time I got them less than 30 seconds before the round ended.
I gave up on Veteran EOD and Veteran Repair. They just both require me to modify my playstyle to something that isn't fun for me.
There is nothing wrong with playing for medals.
I have been trying to get my expert medic bag badge for a month now. Its just too hard, but, god, do I have a good time trying. When I do get it, they will be many a free drink offered by me. Its a great challenge.
Also going for medals, does make you play kits that you don't normally play. Thus you learn and become a better player.

So, you will get your wins by jumping in a server and switching to whichever team is in the lead? And if the team you're on begins to lose will you switch back? hmmmm....talk about Jumping on the Badwagon. Sad.
