At least you are not out drinking at a bar everynight. Those guys deserve a good beating and a divorce. Another poster mentioned a balance. I'm married and have a 10 month old. I work full-time and she stays home. She gets to game (yes she plays too, mostly pogo) when she can during the day, as long as the house is clean and my daughter is alive and happy, i dont care how long she plays. I get home and take over w/ my daughter and she starts dinner, we all eat, we both do bath time then she usually lays down with her to get her settled down and to fall asleep, then I get my time to do whatever I want. It works, and keeps us both happy. So i would recommend getting your balls outta her purse or where ever she keeps them, and spend time with her, the more the better, but don't fold like a hooker getting punched in the stomach by her pimp, and sell your game. Sometimes this IS all we have.

That is what I was thinking also. Now the SF expansion pack I would be willing to buy at a low price if offered.

Re: My wife is losing her mind (BF2 for sale)

Play the game a few hours weekly. (More like one or two hours daily)

When your "Playtime" is up PUT DOWN THE KEYBOARD and do something for your wife (Chores, errands or even fixing a meal so she dont have to)

Be prepared to give up alloted playtime for a household problem or situation that comes up needing your attention, you might find yourself rewarded with more playtime the next time.

Gaming and Marriage is a constant work for balance. You cannot have both in large shares without either a divorce or destruction of property. (Computers)

If you must give up BF2 so be it, but I warn you that not a day will go by that you dont think about the game at least once. It is better to have it in moderation.

The other posters have beaten me to the obvious benefits of a husband who stays home rather than going out to the bars or casinos. Especially the ones who have children in the mix. Listen up to what they are telling you, it's life that matters, not the damn game.

If you are getting rid of the game hoping to save your marriage or as a diplomatic move vs a domineering spouse then you will need to evaluate your own position in the marriage. Is it one of a supportive spouse or that of a child asking mommy for playtime? Work it out and make decisions that involves both of you out on the table in the open with no secrets.

Yes I am the Head of my Household, I have learned the best time is when the day is over and all the chores and work is finished. My spouse knows that since everything is taken care of, it's ok for me to close the door and make war upon the BF2 community (or get pwned) She does not have to come in and say "Get off that computer you lazy bum! I asked you to (Insert chore) this morning and here you are sitting in on that (Insert bad word) game!!! Before storming off to find a frying pan to destroy the computer with.

At that point a 50 dollar game on a 2000 dollar computer is about as good as last night's likker and cigerettes.

If wife aint happy YOU shore as hell wont be happy.

            Good luck!

The thing is I do cook and do the usual "good husband" things.
However, we've been married for about 3 months now and we have settled into our daily life, but being new she still demands most of my attention.
Whatever the reason, BF2 really scratches at her nerves and she throws a sh!T-Fit... it's kinda mental if you ask me.

See... She is getting her PhD in Plant Pathology, so she studies a lot and that is when I frag. But, when she is done studying she insists that I be done fragging (right NOW!), and when I dont drop-out right away she gets pretty bent. Its as if she wont allow any of "our" time to be burned on BF2.
The odd thing is that if I am messing with the MS Flight Simulator or some other waste of time she doesnt seem to mind much - I think she really has issues with BF2 and its violent nature.
As cool as BF2 is, it just isnt worth the greif.

Dont get me wrong... my wife is fantastic. She even bought me a gas-powered R/C airplane for Valentines Day ($500 of her own stash) - Wifes dont get much better than that. But on the other hand, she hates my guns and my knives. I think it all sort of ties together.
Take the good with the bad I suppose.

I thought about the fact that everyone here already has BF2, but figured other new people wander in and out and some of you might grab it for a friend, brother/sister, another PC or whatever.

You need to spend time with your wife, that is a given, but I'm telling you, you cannot let her control the things you love to do. I have been married a little over a year and a half, and during that period, not much has changed, but alot has changed. We had a daughter and she controls our days and nights. But it is the trade-off between each other that makes it work. Everyone needs an outlet of some sort, if you don't have one because you feel you need to quit it or she/he makes you quit, you will despise the other person. Don't let this happen, if you want to quit fine, but there will always be another game around the corner that you will want to play. If this is your only hobby that makes you feel good, you cannot let it go. If it is a secondary hobby, and you don't mind letting it go in trade for something else, that is fine. But if you start eliminating things in your life because your significant other is causing you too, you will be in for a world of hurt in the future. whew.....

New wives/girlfriends hate all the things that define a man. They want to make you the way they want you to be. I. like almost all of you have been down this road and I am still on this road. They want to strip away the things that you like and replace all that with stuff you can both do. In a way it is a power play, but hey that is the nature of a woman.

Don't let yourself get p**sy whipped, that would be sad. You may as well chop your hairy bean bag off and hand it over to her to do with as she pleases. If you are lucky, you may get visitation rights, like once every 2 months or so.

Keep your game and play when you want to, negotiate. She should be happy that you are not wh0ring around all hours of the night and such. So you play a game, big friggin deal. It's not like you are sitting there on the couch all day and night, neglecting everything in the universe. Check team balance is on (in your relationships).

There's no way anyone would ever sell their BF2 cd key. The only possible explanation is that his wife stopped providing sex.
