Environment voice: A third voip channel badly needed

I see the very need of creating a third chat button so you can talk people next to you, this will add a lot of fun to the game.

    For example,

    1) you can talk someone in your vihicle even they are not in you squad (at least a long trip boredom buster :) ), or remind your friendly teammates about the situation around.

    2) you can taunt your enemies near by. Don't forget to taunt the dead body with some thing like "It hurts to be you."(remember Duke Nukem?), or "hasta la vista, baby!" after you killed him.

I dont think a 3rd channel would be necessary... You can already hear a soldier yelling "Get ammo, here!", etc - even if its an enemy - within a certain radius. Using the same game logic, they could broadcast VoIP transmissions and Com Rose commands (ie: "Move out ... here") to all players within that same radius.

That'd totally kick @ss if you could eavesdrop on enemy players talking about their plans! Especially on darkened SF maps.

one of the best features of Halo2.

The experienced players new best weapon: Misdirection.

"Oh crap! They're attacking the Construction Yard" you shout while hiding.
The MEC Troops run past, shouting war cries as they charge the construction yard, right into the C4 you cleverly placed moments before.

It's like in SOF2, you press the J button beside someone to talk to that person only and no one else can see it.

A third channel? Sheesh, less that 1% of the servers I play on use the existing VOIP as it is.

if they do add it..they better had a mute button along with it .... playing on 32 player cs servers with all talk on is just insane especially with spammers and those high pitched annoying kids that whine and b---- ..but yea it would be useful

like someone said above, as long as there is a mute button as well thats a great idea :P

i swear to god the other day there was a german kid on an EA UK server that sounded exactly like uder from the simpsons [the kid that gets eaten and turned into sausages by skinner in one of the halloween episodes] and he didn't stop talking crap for about 5 rounds

Yeah, I really don't want it to be like CS. One time, some French-Canadian guy started playing his ****ty techno demo tapes to the entire server through voice chat.

Yup, always wanted this. Especially in vehicles, because non-verbal communication is even harder then.

I can see it now. The ability to sneak up behind a sniper, yell BOO! as you knife him, and then play sound clips of something creepy like a max hardcore porn scene while you teabag the body.

No, its too terrible to contemplate.
