Good point. Players are immature making the gameplay the same. This game is going down quickly. The community supporting it will be half of what it is now within 6 months.

This game is not BF42 nor is the excitement the same as it was for 42. IMHO

          Heh.

BF2's still fun. I just wish it would load faster, then I would play it a lot more.

I don't know about you, but I recently went back and played BF42. The game is slippery and boring now compared to BF2. BF2 seems to have so much more going on and it makes it a lot more intense and frantic. I guess tastes vary but in my opinion BF2 is still 10 times more fun than '42.

How is he seeking attention by calling you out? In pretty much every post you've made your logic doesn't make sense and isn't representative of a mature 21-year-old.

I think your point is well made Unun.... I guess it's more about 42 was so new and groundbreaking in the genre.... while much more sophisticated, BF2 seems to fail.... dunno .... seems like gameplay is not as addictive and the rounds not as much fun ... guess I'm just rambling but I stand by my prediction about the "staying power" of this game.

it's all up to the individual, i spend less time playing bf2 now than when it came out, but i usually get more quality per round w/ the exception that i dont fly the chopper as much. i dont think it is necessarily going "downhill," but it is getting older, and sooner or later something will knock it from being one of the best. history repeats itself and this game wont be any different.

Is there such a thing? Remember, age alone does not make one mature. I know people in their late-30's and early-40's who I wouldn't exactly call mature.

But on topic: since the patch, I do believe things have changed, and not always for the better. Why exactly did they have to make it so you don't TK someone for running past your claymore or running over your mine? What they should have done was made it so you can't punish someone for your own stupidity, but instead they made it so you can spam claymores and not have to worry about it. A clan-mate of mine did this just the other night on Iron Gator and racked up 35 kills without firing his weapon once! There's just something wrong with that picture.

I love this game. I think it's a lot of fun and plan to continue playing for a long time, but I wouldn't necessarily disagree with someone who says the game is going downhill. There is going to be a point, where EA/DICE has to dumb down the game so much because of all the bitching and moaning that's gone on since pretty much the beginning, that there just isn't going to be any challenge to the game and everyone will be running around with PKM's and claymores in hand. (Hell, some would argue that we might have already reached that point.)

Maybe you'll be ready to use the forums in a couple of years, but not yet. Just do us all a favour and leave.

i think that is the point the author of this thread is trying to make, that it has arrived. one thing is for sure, i am waiting for the mods to this game. the only problem w/ the mods is: will there be enough support from the community to keep the mods' proverbial "heads out of water?" i am not so sure their will be the same support as DC had w/ bf42. i hope i am wrong.

The maps are getting totally boring now. The same thing over and over. It ouwld be nice if theye allowed some of the custom maps in the Ranked Servers. So many talented programmers and map makers, modelers, etc and EA wont give them a shot. It is really quite sad. After all they say that immitation is the highest form of flattery.

if EA decides not to release new ranked maps/kits and vehicles for regular bf2 then you will see the majority of ppl will move to play the new mods. as of now EA is charging money for new maps/kits and vehicles, these new mods will offer all these things for FREE. therefore i think DCon, POE2 and FH2 will be very popular mods to come.

to answer the question of this thread, yes BF2 is sucking big time, i went back to DC, and holding off buying other games until i try out the new mods, if they suck as much as bf2 then it's time to move on and sell bf2 or burn it.
