I get annoyed by squads with 1 member that are locked. You shouldn't be able to lock a squad unless there are at least 2 ppl in it.

For those of you who prefer to play as squad members, would you use a quick join button?
yes, yes i would. how about when you press join squad, it does nothing, but when you release, it joins the first unfull squad. but if you press 1-9 while its pressed, it trys to join that number of squad.

For you squad leaders, do you use the Insert key, or do you pull up the UI and manually create a squad?
i use insert when its a basic squad, when i need to name it i open the ui.

The trouble with a quick join button is that you could be placed into a squad where people are flying. There is no point if you are in a flying squad and not flying, unless you may want to call for air strikes, or in a squad with a sniper etc.

I would like to see an auto leave squad function. Where if you are in a squad then get invited into another squad and accept, it automatically leaves the squad you were in then places you into the new squad rather than you having to manually leave the squad you were in 1st.

Fun trivia fact, that ability to join squads while you're dead was a bug that simply stayed as a feature. It was never intended to let people join and leave a squad simply to spawn. (I think this sometimes occurs, you can't seem to spawn on your squad leader while dead.)

Thanks for bumping the thread tho. I'd forgoten where that statment had been made. Atleast we all had lots of warning about the coming changes.
