I will buy it but a couple of things annoy me....

      1. Content like this has been released in the past for free (which has been said already)

      2. To integrate it into the game alienates those who do not wish/can't afford it. I heard that the new EF maps will be available in the vanilla game (not like SF which is separate). Therefore, they will rotate in with the other maps (depending on server setting i spose). When 1 of the new maps comes up all those without the "mod" will get kicked (i assume) which will be annoying to say the least.

Sorry if this has already been said as i only got a chance to read 60% of the thread as my kids are going beserk

I will get it, but it wil be the last one for me. By the time we all play the heck out of it and get ****ed because of the bugs, they will have bf3 out and I hope for f**ks sake they get it right so that when we are on these forums we have nothing but great things to chat about. This has been a painfull process for the lot of us and I don't want to go through it again.

        Peace everybody!

I will get it. I'm looking forward to it actually. I came into BF2 just before 2006, so I came in late. I'd like to be on level ground with people again on new maps.

Im going to see what the EF2000 abd Tiger bring in and if the pack changes something then Im going to get it. Otherwise its Stechkov Syndicate being the only item on the PC gaming shopping list for me, for a few months.

I won't buy it. EA/Dice just try to rip us off again. Earlier you got the same content or maybe even more for free. 10 bucks aren't much but that's just the first step to new "super-expensive-add-ons". Sooner or later you'll have a bunch of booster-packs which all together cost you as much as the original game (or maybe even more) but with less content.

They already tried that to a certaint extend with Special Forces. It's one of the most expensive add-ons I've ever seen with the least content for its price. But at least you got a DVD with it, which you won't with those booster-packs (and I don't see it to be cheaper therefore, which would compensate that a bit).

I wouldn't be surprised if they try to get some cash for new patches too in case those booster-packs are successfull.

0.66 per bottle. Its 0.5 litres full of finest 5.2% Estonian beverage you can get. Not an American, here.
Point was, I usually get more use for my money than buy a game, even if its cheap. It must be good. For PC, I can count 6 games that I´ve bought that interested me.

somebody has to test it for real anyway , lol .

also, it's 10$ , who cares, I like new maps and stuff

about the hard copy, I do like it more, but for 10$ you only buy a ten year old movie on DVD .

Also, a dowload is actualy safer then a hard copy , you can always redownload and not have to pay again ,
for example my original BF1942 CD , was in PC , PC did some strange stuff, and couldn't reach some cables, so I wanted to pull the front panel of the PC (offcourse while pc was on) CD station panel came along , pushed the turning CD against something, and the whole CD is now unusable, so if I want to play 1942 again , I would have to buy it again , but If I had downloaded it, I could just redownload

At least here in Finland it says in the game info manual that EA will send me a new disck if old one is damaged. I asked it from our local EA agent and indeed they will send a new one if original is returned with manual and covers.

I'll still buy it. Also something i would like to point out. I find it funny how the bf2 communti was complaining about 1.2's bugs and when EA announces theyre going to fix them, the same people start whining about how it's stupid that EF got pushed back. That doesn't make much sense.

                                Man I love Battlefield 2...

After this last patch I have noticed that the game play isn't as intense but as far as strategy goes people have to think more now and it's slowing the intensity down but increasing the fairness in game (I really hated when people would bunny hop and shoot their little gernade launcher at you and kill you).

I still love the game though and will continue playing until something better comes out.
