I finally got my knife badge!

Man, I thought it was never going to happen! I never figured I would feel such a weight lifted from my shoulders but when I saw that badge pop up on the screen I yelled with satisfaction. The best part about it was that I already had my 50 required kills to get the vet so I skipped the basic all together.

Thanks for everyone’s threads about this badge. I did what everyone had collectively said which was to get on karkand as a medic. I was on a 32 man server that became full toward the end of the round but started with the minimum players. Before the round went "live" I ran around and scrimmaging the other players to prepare for my attempt at the badge.

Just wanted to share my excitement

I still haveto get basic knife, pistol, explosive. I am also like 5k poitns away from rank and am desperatly trying to get them. I have found it better to snipe people with pistol because AK-101 vs. pistol close range = kill for AK.

I am getting close and closer everytime though...

Thankfully, there are those of you that get their badges like this and enjoy the game in the process. Congratz!

Too often I have seen two medics going at each other on a map reviving each other. It is a pleasure to see folks that go after their badges and enjoy them as the game intended.

yeah im having a bit of a nightmare to get my nife badge

I was unlucky because when we got the free unlocks i didn't select the blan slots so now i have all the vannila bf2 guns but if i want one of the new unlocks i have to get to my next rank wqhich means either:-

1. Going from my current score (30,000 odd) to the next rank which is 50,000

2. or get my knife badge! (i have all the others in fact i managed to get the veteran pistol one accidently the other night!)

I just cant get it though not even close

I got mine last night, man, basic knife, basic transport, and a ribbon, all in the same round....also I have 2510+ points but I'm not promoted yet.

so whats the secret?

Ive tried sneaking up on snipers where i know they hang out on wake for instance and ive played karkand but fail to see how you have any chance on there.

I have also tried standing at the enemies spawn waiting for them.

All those methods might bag me 3 knife kills in a round but thats it

Really rewarding when you earned something instead of going the easy stat padded route.... So enjoy .....

BTW i could be wrong but to those who dont have it yet (knife badge) might i suggest trying wake island....go around your enemies flag by using the beaches then slice and dice them from behind...

got mine lthat way.... but whatever u think works 4 u guys ...
