Re: try this to fix ur invisible buildings

hmm, I have a 9800 PRO, My buildings are not disappearing but I'm getting outrageous pings and less than 3 FPS. Think this will fix my problem or is this only for the lower end cards?

IM having a bigger problem! After performing the steps, it didnt work (probably cause I didnt use the demo, and maybe i had to do something diff). Now, the game wont even start! Can anyone pls put some links to the latest ATI driver I can use fort the 9200, and then what settings to change in the driver so my bf2 would even run again!?

You Can use 1.12 for the old files. just copy all of them and paste in the new one.
just go to https://support.ati.com/ics/support/...ge&folderID=27 and download these, same ones im using. works with no problems.

umm..when u were patching the game did u rename the bf2.exe file? (thats the only thing i can think of right now that can cause the crash)

was there an error message ?

                              6) Run the actual game and make sure the video settings / other options are exactly the same as the one as you had in the demo.
Does this comment mean "all" of the options, I made sure that the video settings were identical, I pasted in the 55 files and when I restarted the patched bf2 it optimized the shaders. I wasn't expecting it to do that. I thought that the optimization created the 55 files. The game does run now, thanks for that, but not as smooth as the demo. Have I missed something here. I must say that for you to have figured this out is a very nice piece of work, although I will stop short of offering you head, one cannot quite come at that sort of behaviour :p

umm sry to say, but its sortof hard to tell...the 9200 series were'nt made to really play bf2, but some things u can check....
in ur mods/bf2/cache folder tehre should be only 1 folder and
in ur mods/bf2/cache/{D7B7... there should only be 55 files i think

sometimes i catch the occasion "optimizing shaders" and whenver this happens, i just go back into the mods/bf2/cache/{D7B7... folder and delete everything in there and then copy/paste the 55 files.

and the game should run worse than the demo for it adds a bunch of new features and those takes up system resources, but the diff shouldnt be great. I just find myself lower the view distance a lil to compensate
