    Re: Buy Euro Force!

It's too bad they are only charging $10 for the booster pack. From the replys it sounds like you guys would be willing to pay more for such little content, that they should have included in the patch for free.

Oh wonderful a new army. Guess which side most people are going to want to play, the European Union because they get all the new toys. What about the MEC or China don't they get any new cool stuff.........hell no.

Welcome to the future, why put out a finished final product when you can just serve up tiny chunks at a time, Valve is going to do this with their HL2 add-on, and then there’s SIN and its “episodes”.

I do believe that they said they would box up the booster packs after both were completed but I bet it will be for some “gold edition” of BF2.

So far they’ve done a bang up job tricking players into buying the BF2:SF expansion (oh you want these new weapons do you?), I wonder what they’ll do for these booster packs? Maybe force all ranked servers to put them in rotation, that would be fitting for their clever marketing trend.

We’ll end up buying it because right now BF2 is the only worth while FPS out, bugs and all, if your favorite server puts them in rotation you’ll cave in too

yeah.........give us the boosters, and move on to the next game.

After buying Special Forces.......which was overpriced... im not buying them. Ok, I MIGHT buy the armored fury one. But the euro one....nah. Im about Euro'd out.

Actually I think its the registered ranking idea, that is selling booster packs and expansions. I mean..... if ranking was good to go for modded servers, (which would suck really) then everyone would be playing the new mods when they hit, IE: Desert Conflict, and the others. Free Content. And probally.......Better conduct

If I wanted 'dig' at something you said, I would quote you. Did you read the first post of the thread?

I wouldn't put Valve in the same category as EA.

Yes Valve do plan to sell add-ons (if you want to call it that - I actually see it as a small game that uses the same HL2 characters) over Steam, however they do not apply pressure on HL2 owners to purchase the game beyond by having the new content affect their current HL2 game. Vanilla BF2 players on the other hand are affected by new BF2 add-ons even if they don't want to play them.

Valve have also made available a lot of free content since the HL2 release. Also HL2 took more than a year to come out after its famous 30 Sep release date simply to fix as many of the bugs as possible. IMO they did a pretty good job. EA, on the other hand haven't even fixed the simple Red-Friendly bug after so many patches, yet they continue to ask for our money.

This "support" is not going to be part of my future.
