How to dodge the new missile

I suggest all pilots get together, and experiment with methods for dodging the new A2A missile. Reportly jinking the plane seems to work, but I need to comfirm it with an able enemy (single player doesn't work well)

Just stay higher, then AA can't lock on in the first place.

I am talking about A2A here, I can dodge ground to air fine.

try cutting the throttle while banking/turning. and don't allow yourself to hit the afterburners because that would just create an even tastier heat source for heat seekers.

just a thought... may or may not work.

Is that level of realism in the game?

Will cutting back the throttle reduce heat signature and throw off missiles?

I always assumed it didn't make a difference..

I've tried all methods, including all throttle settings, rudder, and banking in all directions, and I can guarantee with 100% certainity they are undodgable. In fact when I'm flying now and I get missile lock I don't even bother turning. The best thing you can do is turn away from the source that fired the missile at you, and use afterburners to get as much distance as possible, deploy your flares and hope for the best.

It would be great if we could find a server running the El AL XXL map, with all of those plane spawns. Seems like a great way for to get some practice/testing in. Imagine getting 14 pilots in the air with the new missiles? :O

Also, I would love an extra 300 or 400 feet/meters added to the ceiling to allow for a little more room in dogfights and evasion. Even bumped up to 1k would be good enough for me.

I found doing barrel rolls seems to throw off most missiles.

I've found to, but I supose It's only pure luck, that spinning with the plane have saved me a few times. ie press "left arrow key" + "W"

Gentlemen, in order to make the point of this topic a bit more clear.

The topic isnt "how to evade missiles pre-lock/pre-launch"
The topic PS "how to evade missiles post-lock/post-launch assuming youre out of flares"

Give tips and discuss on topic please.
