    Claymore Solution

Simple, when a team member walks on/next to a friendly claymore, it gets destroyed but the team member does not get damaged.

This would prevent claymore spamming in high traffic areas, but would still solve the problem of teamkills.

Then people wouldn't care about your claymore and would just walk over it if they needed too, destroying your claymore and opening that side to enemy attack. Claymores NEED to produce teamkills, otherwise its just geigh.

No, just means you have to run past the front lines to drop them. Hooray, now the claymores will be right outside the Karkand fence instead of near the hotel alleyways! It's still not going off until one of them dies to it.

Engineers are already the solution for poorly placed claymores. Bring one along in your squad if you don't want to have to face the issue. Well placed claymores are another issue all together.

Kill the sniper who planeted it and it will eventually dissapear. Simple as that.

Claymores are just freaking stupid now. Anyone can set one down anywhere with no thought whatsoever.

And Paas, you always make it sound like its soooo easy to do it your way. But come on in high traffic areas on Karkand you'd rather just run into a claymore than bring an engi with you. Admit that the game is FLAWED.

As I posted somewhere else, the solution to claymores is simple.

              A medic.

                It's flawed. There is a Red/Blue bugg.

The Anti-Air is still worthless against skilled pilots such as myself, no matter what I fly/tactics I use to get the drop on a jet.

Anti-Tank rockets go straight through vehicles.

Yet, the Claymore thing is not that bad. I bring Engineers with me as the 5th required kit in my squad. Considering how easy it is for me to fill up my squads, I always have an engineer on tap.

...so, in a sense. It is "THAT" easy. I'm sorry you have to deal with ignroant people constantly, I just don't run into that issue often. No point in "Adding" a solution when one is already there. If people keep taking away things for the Engineer to do outside of repairing assets, people will just stop playing the class all together. Thus, it would be pointless.

I guess the idea of watching your f**king step and looking where you are going is too hard for noobs. Running around like a bunch of scared sheep is much more useful of course.

You live in fantasy land. You aren't going to make an engineer circumnavigate all the way around the middle of karkand and expect him to live while wrenching a claymore..... Secondly, last time I checked engis can't bust out their wrench on a ladder.

Enemy team stacking 24 people in the TV station and support guys keep feeding the three assault guys ammo packs to noob tube and flashbang the stairwell? Don't worry, we brought a medic.
A medic works as long as it takes for a support to feed their sniper more claymores. You know what's great to do? DROP CLAYMORES ON CORPSES!

And bringing engineers is a ridiculous solution. What do you do when you're in the hallway on Warlord or in the alleyways of Karkand and you see the thing sitting right ****ing in front of you? You can't just step around it, the alley's too cramped, you gotta walk all the way around the building and chances are they've claymored that way too.

Claymores were meant to protect snipers from getting knifed off a rooftop, THAT'S IT.

I hate to pull the realism argument, but the mere thought that the puny "delicate" thing with its "sensitive" trigger can't be detonated or even MOVED by a frag grenade is ridiculous.

                          Re: Claymore Solution

The problem with claymores before was your own team running on them and giving you a TK.....sometimes it would be the snipers fault if he put them 2 meters away from where i spawn so i move forward an die right after spawning or putting them in high people traffic places where teammates need to run and blocking the way. When a sniper puts them out of the way to defend himself like on top of a ladder then him getting a TK for it is unfair.
So the best solution would be to make claymores destroyable with granades and also make it so when a teammate walks over them it blows up but doesn't kill him.

This will make most people happy as claymores wont be as useful to spam in high people traffic areas as a lot will be disarmed by your own team and with them being destroyable then its at least possible for the enemy to get past if they notice them, also snipers wont get any more TK's and punished due to idoit teammates trying to collect them up like powerups.

If anyone knows a better solution than that then please post...but please dont post unrealistic things like "my squad always has an engineer in so its no problem". 90% of squads on pubs wont have one so it will be a problem and the way i place my claymores it will be impossible for an engineer to get round the back to remove it without dieing.

The other solution someone said of someone running into the claymore and kill themself but have a medic to revive after is stupid too as you shoudn't have to do that just to get past a claymore, plus you cant revive them if they die on a ladder

                            if that became reality,

there would be alot of team mates i would have to kill.

lol Face it, people will do what they want unless punished. And sadly, even then that doesnt stop them.
I realize some folks are jerks. However if i put a claymore in a peticular spot. Its there for a reason. And it will kill someone, and it will be placed tactical.
Most of the places i lay a claymore, folks(teammates) shouldnt be there anyways.

No. Some people whine all day about how this game lacks realism. Think about the response if you could set off your own claymore and not die. Plus think about it. If you know you can blow up friendly claymores without dying, if you need to get past that claymore, you are just going to run through it, blowing it up and completely messing up the idea that the sniper had of protecting his back.

Secondly, there are always going to be people in servers that accidentally or even intentionally set off friendly claymores (in 1.12). There is no simple solution to this, simply turning FF off on claymores was the dumbest solution ever. They should have given mines, c4, and claymores different warning symbols. That would at least reduce the number of idiots that climbed a ladder you rigged with claymores as well as reduce the number of mine TKs. It would not be a SOLUTION, but would definately help the situation.
