I thought it was going to be awesome, having fired the real thing and seen it in other games. But, its unrealistic.

At point blank range the P90 should unload a full clip in less than two seconds of game time. Im guessing it takes about 3 1/2 to 4 seconds at its slow rate.

You must not know how to use the L96. Its an awesome gun, i almost get more one shot kills that 2 shots, and ive never needed more than 2 to bring down even a fully armored opponent.

I think the 50cal sniper rifle is more effective at head shots.

On Sharqi i have had games where i got 36 sniper kills from the crane with no deaths to myself. I attribute this to the fact that if i missed the head shot and still hit the body, then it only took one more easier shot to the body to kill him.

With the L96, on the Sharqi map i was averaging about 12 sniper kills and suffered higher number of deaths to myself because the first shot didnt kill and it took a few more followup shots to the body which was enough time for them to locate me and kill me.

Does anyone know what the hit damage is for the L96?

Isnt the 50cal 95% damage to the body? So i would imagine the L96 is less than this even though its a comparable 300magnum round.

Nahhh, i mean its kewl and all. But, cycles ammo too fast resulting in lots of money!

Remember that Nicholas Cage movie "Lord of War"? In the beginning it shows a guy shooting an AK47 and each time a shot is fired you hear a cash register that caaachings to the sound of money. Well thats how to describe the P90.

The local indoor gun range allows people to rent the P90, MP5 and Uzi to shoot at their indoor range. Of course, you must use their ammo on rentals.

So they make a killing in ammo sales from your rental. You shoot a box of ammo (about $9) in two or three bursts..LOL.. Cost me about $100 for 15 minutes of use... not including the rental...

I love both. P90 fires slowly, which is good, dosent waste ammo. And the awp is awesome!

But, i noticed the L96 took sometimes 3 or 4 shots to take down a likewise opponent. There were only a few occasions i got a one-shot/one-kill which was at medium range.

try to find a sever with less ping and buy a 34" LCD :laugh:

Anyways l96 is nice but its zoom should be longer range, there should be like another zoom setting, you know, normal then longer range.

P90 is literally an automatic pistol with crap accuracy....I hate it.

Actually the L96 is not that M24, is more like the SVD, with a bit more demage, the M24 takes your health down to red with one shot to the body, the L96 takes your health a bit under half, but not red.

The P90 is crap i was about 15m away from a sniper on a roof so i zoom in with the p90 shoot him in the head, it misses, shoot again, it misses then finaly on the sixth shot aimed at the head it hits but he doesnt die. Then he retreats and arty blows us both to hell.

The L96 and the other hand is just plain amazing. Does anyone know is it can shoot through helicopter glass?

Let's get this clear:
The L96A1 is NOT a .50 cal sniper rifle. The M95 on the other hand, is. The L96A1 is almost the same as the M24, with minor differences. in deviation.

you guys that say its dumb to have a unlock worse than the original, ARE YOU RETARDED?? these guns are regular guns for the booster packs, and putting them in BF2 as an unlock is to open up more variety, it isnt better, ITS AN ALTERNATIVE, same with the special forces unlocks, they arent special, in fact, i think they all suck compared to regular unlocks. use your head before saying dumb **** like this.

Haven't unlocked the P90 yet (2K points away from the next rank), but I like the L96.
Too bad it has this damn bug where sometimes headshots don't register as headshots :/
You see the little dustcloud appearing on the target's head (so you did hit the head), also get the hit indicator, target takes damage, but doesn't die.
