I recommend Karkand since there are no choppers/planes to attack you.
Best place is MEC's back base, left side.
Strongly considering this for my expert.

Vistrel's idea wont work unless you get a friend to hop in the vodnik with you. If you can get somebody to actually stay in the car while you madly zoom into the ocean, then good luck. You'll probably still only get around 13-15

Maybe with that American map, which i read will have alot more tanks, you will be able to achieve this?

The problem is people get killed too easily when repairing tanks. So while there are plenty of opportunities for the points, its too risky.

It is people like you that make the rank and medal system WORTHLESS! You are an exploiter, and do not deserve any awards for anything. This guy wanted advice on how to get points while Helping the team When I see asshats like you on servers exploiting or padding (which is what you are doing) I teamkill them immediately, I will take the -5 points for killing your dumb ass. It is total retards like you that make DICE continue to Nerf the game. By the time all you exploiters are done with the game, it will play like the original Castle Wolfenstein (1993). I wish EA/DICE would hunt down all you pieces are garbage and ban you for life.

                    OMG U R SOOOO SM4RTTT!!

Doing this is considered stats padding; the infamous "solo engineer padding"

j-train: the next moron you see doing this, just take some screenshots and report him to EA. His nice stats will be reset :)

All your pretty badges mean nothing now Vistrel, you have exposed yourself as a padder adn exploiter. I will be hunting you down on servers for the next few days. BTW, the next time someone askes for advice and you deliver a hack, I will forward the thread to EA and let them decide wether or not to let you keep all your shiny badges. Most of us play the game, we don't just run around exploiting loopholes in the game, and no it is not my life, but when I do play I expect people to play, not farm for stats. The other night I caught this helmet http://www.gameslave.co.uk/bfparser....rOld&refresh=1 padding with the old 2 on 1 medic/knife badge padding. One stabs, one heals one stabs one heals. I overheard this going on on the other side of the fence on Warlord near the SAS CP. I ran around the corner and watched for a minute, sure enough (and had my Printscreen button been working I would have had screenies) they were hard at it. I shot them all, only one TK casue the 2 were MEC. So be aware that there are people out there other than admins watching you. BTW this guy has made 3000 points in 2 days, sounds like a padder to me. Look at his points and he already has the Expert Knife? Padder.
                      Knife 1h 51m 53s 21% 207 79 2.62
                      Explosives 5h 11m 35s 41% 215 159 1.35
and not a very good CMDR:
                      Time: Commander 7h 26m 13s Commander Score 1036

Vistrel has exposed himself -not- as a stat padder and exploiter, but as someone who knows that water does damage to vehicles.

Show me where in the EULA (which EA justifies stats resets with - when they bother) it says that telling someone of a possible exploit constitutes padding.

                        Great one, TKer.

I got it on karkand, you need a 32 player server running the 64 player map , and you also need a budy to work with you, very important .

Get both in a vodnic , drive to the left street on the first flag , get in the back as an engineer and repair the thing , it will get damages a lot by AT guys shooting it, maybe an APC shooting it, etc.... just keep repairing but you buddy must be a gunner on it to protect the thing , also your teams APC or tank or both will be in this street, when they pass you you can repair them to , this way I managed to get 30 reparis or more in one round (rounds last somewhat longuer) , this way I managed to get over 200 repair points on one day .

But again, you need a buddy to be gunner for protecting the vodnik, and to drive around when needed, for example when a tank is comming in, your buddy must drive the vodnik to somewhere else or you won't live true it .

otherwise for repairing assets don't use the wrench, take a vehicle and drive next to the assets, the repairs anre continious then, then repairing bar doesn't run out, so you can repair several assets in a shorter time , another advante of repairing in a vehicle, you can defend yourself, just sit in gunner position.

repairing other guys there vehicle gives you points , but tanks and APC seems to give them very slow, vodniks, humvee, rubber boats repair super fast, meaning fast points , and here the same story, don't repair with wrench, repair while in vehicle.

That's the real way to do it on Karkand.

*If* you can find a gunner, and if they don't get PKM'd or sniped with the new patch.

I got basic on...(I wish I could remember the names of the maps better) a ground map with MEC, I just got in the Blackhawk and got to work repairing it.

The improved AA are good from the perspective of an engineer. We had the full works, I think there was another engineer with me but there was definitely a medic. We only got blown out of the sky a few times, and I got that shiny badge.

Re: Veteran, Expert Engineer repair tips?

I can understand the commander's frustration when engineers refuse to do their jobs. I'm just saying, when you compare the engineer's benefits with the ability of the crates to automatically repair radar, uav, and arty, as opposed to the benefit that Special forces gets from waiting next to a supply crate and destroying the strategic target while rearming his c4 with the supply is crazy. The end result is that you'll end up with a special forces guy with 40 points and an engineer who worked his butt off with about 10.

The benefit the engineer gets from the crates fails to compare with the class of special forces. I just think DICE could make up for this gross difference in potential points by either awarding more points for repairing or, maybe more radical, make it where crates can't repair strategic objects.

Also, just an idea. Engineers could receive points at a faster rate for being outside of a vehicle and repairing, since they are taking a greater risk.

Either way, I'll still play engineer, because nothing makes me happier than when a full enemy apc runs over a mine. See you in game.
