Re: My thoughts about the Controversial "AA"

LOL sounds like you have some worked up aggression against helo pilots, poor baby.
Nah, no aggression. I really didn't care about getting ganked by help pilots. I learned to deal and to run and hide when I saw one hovering around.

My problem is that your post was the second post in this thread complaining about the patch from the perspective of a helo pilot and then IMMEDIATELY claiming how they still got a good score.

If it was unbalanced and the AA was so easy (you did, BTW, claim that the AA was too easy implying that it is overpowered) you wouldn't still be able to get good scores. Obviously, because you were still able to get good scores but it required you to actually THINK about the AA I would say they balanced things just right.

Agreed. The A.A. is just fine.

A skilled Jet Pilot will still take you out quickly. Also, a "DOMINATE" Helo pilot [like myself] will focus on clearing all SAM sites so that the "Fly Boys" on my team can get in the heavy hits.

People don't seem to realise than all a Jet needs to survive is a Attack Helo clearing the way for them. Good tactic to use, form a 4-Man squad. Two in the bomber, two in the Cobra. Evertime a pilot spots a SAM site, you let your Helo Crew know about it. They can usually sneak up behind the said site and take it out. This, allowing you to bring in the "Boom Nipples"

...all it takes is a little teamwork folks; and a whole lot less complaining and whining about how things are "overbuffed".

            That's a f-ing joke.

no but spending my time at a heli pad and having to constantly hit AA guns is lame... Helos are meant for armor support to you know...

If he was pulling a sharp turn he was bleeding off a lot of energy, not a wise move if you want to avoid being hit.

true, but in comparison to how easily anything can kill the chopper it was very hard to score good wich it should be hard but it was getting ridiculos. i honestly like the AA the way it is but i dont think a buggy should tear you a new a$$ the way it does.

Re: My thoughts about the Controversial "AA"

Only played a few hours this evening and personly I think the new patch rocks .

I was on wake manning the AA and managed to shoot down jet about three times while getting killed in AA about 6 or 7 times. Perfect if you ask me.

i agree with the majority of the post i've been reading for the last day, and that is, the plane/jet hogs have has way too much time and way too many kills in the past. Tought sh*t I think most of the community are overjoyed to be able to have a half decent chance at taking out a plane/chopper with the AA sites and AA.

If I was getting 50+ kills in a round with one death before the patch I would be ****ed of too. But I wasn't:p

when I said armor support dude I meant as in anti armor. The primary thing for me to help my team is killing tanks. I know how gay it is to have a tank sitting in your base owning you as you spawn with a supply box behind him...

What a comparrison....you are challenging a guy who fires AA to some one who can flya jet and helo. Get real man....there is not suppose to be skill in firing a AA!!! You get out of your jet or helo and fight on the ground with your team.....now that would be a fair challenge to any one who sits in an AA. Probably though since you like the easy no skill whoring kills as it once was, we will find your butt sitting in AAs trying to get easier jet and helo kills......Where is my M95????

                          LMAO. Yep what he said.

This patch has definetly seperated the pilots from the rest.

If you didn't learn to fly before. It will be a long time before you get enough stick time to get any better.

People seem to forget. It isn't just the ability to fly around the map without hitting a tree that makes a good pilot.

Its being able to anticipate what the other guy will do. Remembering where that tank was and which way he was heading. Timing a bomb release because two targets are about to merge close together. Having an idea where you are going what altitude you are at how stable are you, whats behind the target you are approaching, where do you wave off too. There are a ton of things and you have about a milisecond to think about all of it.

Its not just "flying" around the map that makes a good pilot. Any idiot can get in a airplane and fly around. But to go 30 and 1 consistently in the game pre patch? Thats another thing all together. Thats what pilots do.

Fair enough, but what awesome skill does it take to drop a bomb on an engineer capping a flag? He's not gonna shoot you down with his shotgun, and as long as your bomb lands within say 50 FEET of him he's toast, wow such skill. Dog fight's do require skill, but bombing a flag?

I know with my limited play time on my sig you all will talk **** about how much im a noob, but why not just accept a new challenge for flying planes and choppers?

I see alot of itchy red vaginas on all the bf2 forums about the new aa accuracy. There is always the "this is not realistic" reply followed by a "shut the **** up noob" retort in one way or another.

If you really hate the new patch, unpatch and play 1.12. If thats not good enough, stop playing. I know everyone is given the right to vent and **** and moan, but jesus christ its not even people bitching about the patch anymore. Its turned into a "**** you" " NO **** YOU" battle between the pilots and the grounds troops.

I am the furthest from being the best pilot out there, but I flew for over 2 hours today in the attack choppers without being shotdown every 15seconds as you "pros" and "experts" claim to have been. I thought the AA was such a noob setup anyone could rack up kills? I still broke even in the rounds I piloted, if not had a 1.5-1 ratio or higher when I got really lucky.

Slap in the tampax and dry up the bloody stains from your chairs.
