AA is rediculous ive flown with some of the top ranked jet pilots in this new patch and they all agree its pathetic that some random noob who just bought the game can jump on a stinger and shoot down people with 300+ hours experience

I havent got 1.2 yet but that would mean it would now make sense for GROUND TROOPS to make sure the enemy DOESN'T get on those stingers and shoot down the Air Assets, thus equalling that more TEAMWORK and COORDINATION will be needed via the pilot and ground troops.

If some random ''n00b'' gets the chance to jump on a stinger then by all means, if he is allowed/given the chance to use AA against an aircraft that aircraft should go down. Becuase no ground troops were making sure that nobody gets on those stingers. Ever played RTS games? Or Conflict Desert Storm? You have to make sure ground troops destroy the AA defences so that the planes can come in and clean the place out.

No longer will planes just bomb the base and get away with it, they will now have to think twice and think wether the AA defenses are being used and whatnot.

Some people really never think things out properly, BF2 is becoming more balanced and people will have to start using their brains...

Edit: Oh er, ontopic. I think i'll wait for the official EA one.

In DesertCombat whenever we played NoFlyZone map we definitly had to make sure that the SA3 was down before attacking the enemies main base. So if the AA is powerfull then we definitly have a new task in this game... destroy the AA!

The leaderboards within the game(BFHQ) have been updated to reflect the new ranks...but Colonel seems to be the highest anyone can get as of my typing.

There are a bunch of EAEurotest06 etc etc names in the leaderboards too, testing all of the new ranks. Only the EA names have Generals or higher so far.

Lots of people are complaining about stinger sights now, hmmm. I have an idea. Why don't they make it like the commanders assets, and engineer has to actually repairs the emplacement if it gets destroyed?

No.. I would say it proves anything.. but it would make sense for 1.2 to be 1.2.xxxx-xxx.x not 1.1.2xxx-xxx.x

1.12 is 1.1.2xxx-xxx.x

This looks bad. The red-blue nametag is still broken, there are a lot of things that don't seem right in the game.

I don't think this is good.
