If it's not out, then what was it that I downloaded from the swedish Bf2 site? An early version that wasn't supposed to reach the public? :p

It was nice to test the P90 and L96 anyway :laugh:

I am guessing now that it is the beta that was publicly tested, that some guy thought it would be hysterical to "release" it as the 1.2 patch. Seems to be a logical answer, especially as the rumours were the patch was coming out today. Some people would have downloaded and installed this without thinking twice.

Yes, that seems likely, because there weren't many servers that were playing this version.

I thought twice. The first time I thought... this is silly, and cannot be. An EA update released on a German rapid share page first? Don't download it.

Then I thought about how angry I was when the last delay was announced- and how I haven't played since. So I downloaded and installed.

I sat through the whole super suspicious patching dialog box and everything. Fully realizing how dumb what I was doing actaully was.

Oh well.

I'm thinking that 'suspicious patching dialog box' is there so you can see progress, rather that is just sitting there saying 'Patching, wait!'.

I know... that's what I was expecting from EA though.... isn't that how it goes? message that says 'patching' for ten minutes until a split second before you hold down the power button on the front of your case then it just goes away and you're patched? This weird box looked... weird and unofficial.

i dunno what to say, but the 'suspicious patching dialog box' is total true, we are all used to 'Patching, please wait!'.
Havent EA heard of this?
We need some explanations

best idea is to download everythig from here http://www.ea.com/official/battlefie.../downloads.jsp then u can be sure that u have 100% and not FAKE
