Ya, ur both right. Armor helps IN BATTLE, the health packs help AFTER BATTLE, so if u survive a battle, u want health packs, if ur in a battle, u want body armor. The best is when u got a medic taggng along when ur assault. But, then again, i love my trusty medic sniping trick, using health packs and my trusty G36E, simply do this, throw down a COUPLE health bags (at least 2) right in front of u, then start picking off guys, if they return fire, ur medic bags will heal u while in battle, works great, but doesn't work in CQC when an unexpected enemy comes right in fronta ur face, but that's how Assault is superior.

I know how to nail a guy from far with the GL so i will continue to use this class. BUt i dont noobtube anyway so...

I thought this. Now there is no reason for people to just use medic classes. But then as by the videos. GL's still work the same, just if shot at the feet it will bounce. So you will probably get the same old long shot tubers and people just spamming them all down the kark alleyways and have them bouncing off walls and going everywhere.

I hope its alot better but I wouldnt get your hopes up.

And anyway G3 will be improved, and thats all I would ever use if it had good long range and up close accuracy.

Im never assualt, im usually sniper or spec-ops so i cant vote really :P

i think only the noobs who went asualt for the noob tube will just go find another wepaon to over-use, probaly the AT rocket launcher.

What ever happened to that update they released on 2/6? It's not on the BF2 main page any more, but it did say they undid the arm time on Assault.

the G3 is sick, the m203 wont die, i use it long range and sparingly so it wont effect me much.

i will still play assult as long as i have an ak 101 or ak 47 as usual, prob wont play it as much but it depends on how the arming range goes

Lol, i just noted, i see that at least SOME people voted for the opposite for what they wanted on the poll, cause people interpreted the question for the poll was "End of the Assault Class?", but it actually was if u read it: "View Poll Results: Are you gonna play assualt after v1.2".

The AK-47 is basically a G3 but better accuracy and more rounds, if I could unlock that and the M11-87 for global use I would be happy. The AK-47 rapes all guns by far. Just sucks that its a commonly known gun and I dont like that.

The main purpose of medics and support is to back up the assault, that's my logic behind the G3's tiny mag. Giving him an awesome gun so he can rambo it on his own isn't in the teamwork spirit, and EA appear to be trying to get away from the one man army syndrome, ala Day Of Defeat, where one skilled player could hammer through the opposition alone with no semblance of teamwork.

don't think it will be the end of the class, it still has some great weapons, like the G3 or the F2000 , has flash bang, and the noob tube will be nerfed but still there for use against small vehicles and stuff
