After several attempts on getting my pistol and knife , i am now at a loss on how to get the explosives badge, i never play Special forces kit , so i am no c4 whore , so far i ve tried several ways and always end up with minus points or being kicked for being idle.
just run around and c4 chuck, if they are taking a flag, c4 chuck over a wall, like at Karkands "Hotel" and detonate. Or you could be a noob and spawn camp with it... wouldnt advise that.
I was just going to post on the same topic. I have my basic bagde and it took me ages to get, but I have been trying to get veteran badge (23 kills) for about 3 months now. The best I have achieved is 16 kills.
To be honest you have to do it as sp ops with C4 because as sniper you only get 2 claymores (unless u play commander and drop supply crates near you) and it takes too long to rack up enough kills as sniper.
Problem I have as sp ops trying to get the veteran badge is the damn c4 glitch !!!
Please note I only play medium sized Karkand maps and nothing else
dont know if that link covered it. but the easiest way to get it, and i mean easy. Engineer, just place mines in heavy traffic areas. or as spec ops, be a c4 whore and mine your vehicle, when you get to a full vehicle/apc or lots or GI press E, detenate then KA BOOM! got my basic c4 on the second try. although does count as suicide. but if you rack up 3+ kills per suicide, who cares!
Learn the art of the C4 chucking monkey and go to a 64 player Karkand and go crazy. Expect to get booted a couple times and have hateful messages spammed towards you on ingame chat, I love it.
I'll add something more. Once the Hotel has been taken there is usually a lot of fighting on the street west of the Hotel, load up a Vodnik with C4, drive till you get to the covered spawn point, you should see a group of enemy heading to the square, drive around until you find the way that group is taking, drive into them and BOOOOM. I've seen guys get 10 kills in one shot doing this on particulary crowded servers.
There's many ways to rack up explosives kills, jihad chopper on Mashtaar, hell you could even go sniper and drop claymores in the alleys south of the Hotel. Mines are tricky, more than likely enemy will blow them up, or friendlies will find them first. One funny one I have done is, go engineer, and run through the alleys real quick throwing AT mines, when the grenade launching fest begins, you get AT mine kills in the alleys, great fun for a wtf laugh.

Yes just like meinxtc said, alot of people forget that you get it by blowing people up (ie. claymore, c-4, AT mine). I got mine by playing on Karkand and dropping AT mines close to bottle necks. Most people place mines in groups but I put one here and one there, behind the bushes in the middle of the road, just around corners. Any place where the driver might be taking fire and cant watch for mines. Also you can use the AT mines like C-4 run up to the Armor and drop the mine on or behind it especially if they are blocked in and only have one direction that they can go. One AT mine can take down 2 pieces of armor, if they are close together. Hope this helps. . . . .Red
I ended up with 27 kills on 64/Karkand by doing the c4 chucking, and jihad jeeps. At the very beginning of the round, mec side went to the fence, got 10 kills in the first min of the game :) got the rest by doing the Jihad jeep tactic.

Throwing C4 is not an "exploit", cheap maybe, but not an exploit. Pretty pathetic people whine about it and countless other tactics because they get killed by them.

Just do this all round, try not to kill your self, i got veteran this way before the latest patch, and just got exp few weeks ago. Since its a big size map more are going to be in some type of vehicle
I'd reccommend some durka durka action, although the people you're playing with won't be too happy.

I dived into a Blackhawk on Mashtur yesterday and i got 3 kills, but it doesnt always register right. I got 2 points for a kill and -6 for the crew (??:laugh:) even though it said;

You Killed sfdhhfhssfh
So i suppose jihadi tactics can be a last resort. Its a good laugh though!
Do what i said, just get practise timing at jumping it out so it wont kill you, when i did it i was at 45/35 80% of the times i was killed before i got close to the armor lol
