    World cup vs BF2

This summer are you going to be playing bf2 or watching the world cup . Me personally ill properly take a lot of time of bf2 and watch the whole world cup I've watched nearly every single FIFA world cup finals game since 1990 and i'm not changing my ways now.

The reason I'm starting this thread is because of the Superbowl thread the other day. Most of the replies that i saw in that thread was everyone saying no they'd rather play bf2. So i wanted to know what everyone would be doing while the most popular sport in the world Real football was on .

BTW i hate the dam advert for the Superbowl the most watched sport in the most countries in the world my fat hairy arse.

A cumulative total of 30 billion viewers tuned into the FIFA World
Cup 2002, of which one billion watched the Brazil-Germany final
    alone.

I'm also not really a football fan, although I do tend to watch the England games.

Impressive seeing as the world population is less than 7 billion :)

World Cup is something that comes once every four years, BF2 you could play everyday. World Cup for me all the way! And to the topic host idd World Cup is proper football, that crap you yanks call a 'sport' isn't even classed as a sport here. Rugby2win!

Superbowl is NOT the most watched sport! As always yanks always try to get the glory, unlucky this time!

Not even a close call - World Cup all the way. I'd even prefer to watch Paraguay v Trinidad and Tobago. Like the OP - I've watched virtually every World Cup match since 1986 (I had to turn Irish in 1994 though).

                Hence 'cumulative'...

...anyways, i will be watching the world cup. I normally watch most of the matches (except when i have exams (lame)).

C'mon England, 40 years of hurt etc etc...

Soccer/Football is the absolute most boring sport in the world to watch. The offsides rules is incredibly stupid, if the goalie gets the ball he will just kick it to the other team's goalie and they have to take it down the field again. The only thing American Football and Football have in common is the name. I don't get why Europeans get all upset about American Football.

Just because it is the most popular isn't because it is the most fun. The reason it is popular is because anyone can play it. You just need a ball. With hockey you need skates, a stick, a puck/ball and some protection. In basketball you need a ball and a hoop. With baseball you need a glove, a bat, and some sort of a base.

Footy all the way! Iceland for the win!...erh....No we won't win but we can try...

I spit on that sport yanks call football, it's a disgrace to the word "Football".

The offside rule is not stupid and without it the game would be completely different for the worse...

...yeah goalies always kick straight to the other goalie...always...

...btw american football is snore snore. I mean they play for 10 seconds then stop for a picnic...

I'd rather that they would put a line down, like hockey. It's basically impossible to pass the ball with the current offside rule. What i mean with the goalies is that they just kick the ball to hell then its on the other side of the field most of the time.

Also I know you guys wouldn't mind the American version of football if it didn't have the same name as Soccer/Football.
