Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
People who say soccer is stupid or lame have never actually watched a game. I used to think the same way, then my daughters started to play, I learned the rules...and I think it's a much harder game and just a physical as American Football.
Yes, just as physical. Without the pads.
I spent all day Saturday watching a u9 girls indoor tournie....I thought I was watching a Hockey game with all the checking and bumping going on. Some of the best games I've ever seen at any level.
If the World Cup is on I'll watch it. BF2 I can play whenever.
American football is adverts punctuated by 10 secs play and 5 mins inane rubbish from the commentators while the crowd gets all excited for abolutely no reason.
They don't even get any crowd trouble or nice sing-a-longs like "the referees a w****r" come on.
what i dont get is why is it called football? when most of the time the guys just pick up the ball an run with it but then yes i agree they stop for 5mins for a picnic lmao. I'll be watching the world cup come on englanddddddd.
Oh an one more thing why is it called the world series in baseball when its only in america???? :hmm::hmm:

That's what buggs the hell out of me with all American sports they invent a sport have a tournament some team wins it and THEN they call there self's world champions. How in the hell can you be a world champion if 99.9% of the world doesnt even compete.
No brainer fer me... I kinda sorta loath the majority of TV, so I've gone without any sort of cable TV for years. Besides, if it ain't porn I ain't inta spectator sports.
Not a soccer fan either, I would rather do pretty much anything, besides maybe watch baseball then to watch soccer.
What he said. I HAVE watched soccer, I've tried to like it...but it's terribly boring. Not enough scoring, not enough action. It's just a bunch of guys kicking a ball around to me...
American Football requires strategy. You can't just kick the ball around. You have to line up, send people in motion, try and trick the opposing defense, get them off balance. It's the nuances, the little things, that make American Football great. Also, to compare Rugby and American Football is dumb. Yah, sure Rugby guys play with no pads *yawn* big deal. I have seen plenty of rugby, and never once did I see a 235lb, solid rock of a man LAUNCH HIMSELF at a guy and completely level him. You see that every day in football when a cornerback or a safety levels a wide-out. If you didn't wear pads in American Football you would be killed, plain and simple. Ever seen a linebacker hit a guy so hard he knocks him clean out? Saw it twice during the playoffs. Impacts so loud you could hear the "crack"....and that's with pads on.
The "stop and start" of the game is the thinking part of the game. That's why American Football is great. It's not just raw strength, or how fast you can run, or how far you can kick the ball...it's about how well you recognize coverage, how well you game-plan and scheme. It's just as much thought as it is pure athletisism.
Anyways, I think the World Cup is cool, and I respect that people dig soccer...but don't hate on American Football when you obviously know little to nothing about it. (Not YOU as in the quoted poster, just 'you' in general).
