I dont think ricochets are beyond the realm of possibility, just impossible to implement realistically within the game.


What I really wanted to find was the video of the insurgent firing the machine gun from the hip and taking himself out with a ricochet, but this'll have to do.

Alright, someone suggested that a list be made, so alas, a list was made. These are (real) ideas I've collected throughout the many posts these past few weeks.

I don't want anyone to be offended, this is just for fun!

10. Adding ricochets

9. Not renaming 'Wake Island' to 'Rape Island'

8. Allowing noobtoobers the ability to play pool with bouncing nades

7. Giving players points for spotting enemies

6. Getting points for hitting a tank

5. Making it pay-to-play on subscription basis

4. Making it so each class can choose their weapons

3. Giving the sniper class a 1-shot kill weapon

2. Adding rockets to the Blackhawk's arsenal

1. Allowing snipers to shoot enemy armor's gas tanks

The following are actually good ideas because it adds a sense of realism to the game:
10 - Fact of ballistics, it is unavoidable
8 - Again, in real life a GL will not explode on impact, it is a timed explosion.
3 - Very real, depending on where the shot lands. Either way, the type of weapon would probably determine the amount of player damage.
1 - Equal opportunity, since the BF2 vehicles have no "fuel consumption" it really makes no difference.

no really, we were hovering next to the dome on Mashtuur city, and i was shooting at it watching the bullets hit it, and then we flew right next to it, and i fired off the mini gun and boom i killed myself.

OH GOD NO ITS STARTING AGAIN! Run for your lives! :laugh:

The 'Blackhawk minigun' thing was done to death in a thread not long ago. It's splash damage. Let it die now, please, for everyone's sake!
