This thread owns. I propose that medics and support get AT ability as well, as they also have no defense against them. I also propose that assault gains the ability to climb up tanks and launch the noob tube inside.

Why don't you just propose that EVERYONE who DOESN't HAVE AT ability get AT ability then?

Medics are medics. Assault is Assault. Sniper is Sniper. And so on... If you want to make a mod that ALL the kits are combined into one- go ahead - go make a BF2 Uber-Soldier Mod; who knows? people could actually like it. But please don't propose that you mix kits with others. After you give other troops AT ability- the AT kit will become obsolete.

Won't somebody PLEASE think of the balance?!

Actually, according to this source (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sniper), and backed-up here (http://www.brianhayes.com/2005/08/wo...er-record.html), the record is 2430 m., and the "runner-up" is 2250 m. Both shots were against soldiers, not vehicles.

Sorry, I call bullcrap on that. They might have shot at them, but there is no confirmation they hit anything. As I mentioned above, the record is 2430 meters, not 2600+.

Hi guys,
in case you havnt realised, i'm a sniper. But one thing that really annoys me is the fact your defenceless againt any kind of vehicle attack. Who thinks there should be a small area of every vehicle, perhaps the petrol tank area, where if you shoot it twice or once or something, the vehicle explodes?

Look kid, they didn't insult you but you did that to yourself. Patch 1.2 is a great victory for whining snipers(not the real gamers) so you can keep buggin EA for what you want in patch 1.3. But you know what, when more ppl switch to snipers, you have no more advantage. and this game will be snipingfield and dead.

I like people like you. You get angry, yet, you know nothing about firearms yourself.

Ok. How about this? A 2000m+ shot isn't going to happen with any type of respectable pre-accuracy; so to speak. Even the Canadians that landed the "2400m" or so shot took multiple shots at it. It's not an easy shot to make. It's in the whims of visual range even looking with a 16x optic.

Now. A 2000m vehicle shot doesn't get any easier using Anti-Personell loads. ala. Ball. Oh!? Wait!? You didn't seem to realise that their are certain ammunition loads designed to take out certain targets?! Mah' bad...

If you wanted to make a 2000m + Shot on an human, the .338 would actually be a better loadout than the .50. Even then, at 2000m NOTHING shoots under 2moa. Heck, you're looking at at least a 7inch to 14inch spread even with proper calibrations. Primarly because there is no match grade .50; and humans aren't perfect.

Oh... and 300ft is only 100yrds. That's well within' 9mm carbine range. Now, when you get out to about 600m. Things become more interesting if you want to be precise. 1moa and below (m24, with match load .308) is possible, yet, you're going to be supported. You're NOT going to make that shot un-supported.
